1. Sam wrote a number in a piece of paper. He said “if you add 9 to this number, then compute the half
of the sum, you would get 5”. Do you know what is this number?
1.Because (1+9)÷2 = 5

2. Sam wrote a number in a piece of paper. He said “if you add 6 to this number, multiple 6 to the sum,
subtract 6 from the product, then divide the previous result by 6, you would get 6”. Do you know
what is this number?
still one.because the previous has to be 36.then I need to add 6 so it is 42, and 42 divided by 6 equals 7.7-6
=1.

3. Sam wrote a number in a piece of paper. He said “if you add 8 to this number, multiple 8 to the sum,
subtract 8 from the product, then divide the previous result by 8, you would get 8”. Do you know
what is this number?

4. Sam wrote a number in a piece of paper. He said “if you add 100 to this number, multiple 100 to the
sum, subtract 6 from the product, then divide the previous result by 100, you would get 100”. Do you
know what is this number?

5. Sam wrote a number in a piece of paper. He said “if you add 2 to this number, subtract 3 from the
sum, multiple 4 to the different, then divide the previous result by 5, you would get 12”. Do you know
what is this number?

Calculating exercise

Exercise 1

45 + 18 = 16 + 15 = 17 - 8 = 77 - 55 =

28 + 17 = 44 + 36 = 26 - 18 = 62 - 44 =

39 + 21 = 55 + 17 = 30 - 14 = 72 - 38 =

46 + 15 = 84 + 13 = 33 - 18 = 51 - 17 =

75 + 25 = 36 + 27 = 37 - 18 = 50 - 15 =

Exercise 2

34 + 28 = 53 + 18 = 45 - 17 = 65 - 31 =

22 + 25 = 16 - 7 = 33 - 15 = 54 - 18 =

24 + 16 = 46 - 28 = 41 - 26 = 56 - 37 =

25 + 16 = 26 - 17 = 21 - 15 = 12 - 6 =

56 + 6 = 84 - 58 = 73 - 46 = 87 - 49 =
