As the month of love came, The Doyong-Malabago National High School with the love and
undying support of one of the Most Outstanding School Heads in Region I Dr. Teody M. Delos Santos
which had reached the greater heights of excellence through continuous improvement of the school
and especially the teachers of the institution in relation to instructions and curriculum. Dr. Teody
together with the teachers and stakeholders helped one another to push the over-all performance
of the school into the next level of greatness.
The first and second week of febuary was focused on improving the teacher’s knowledge
and skills through trainings and virtual seminars planned and organized by Dr. Teody together with
his partner Dr. Genoveva Ballesteros, principal IV of Buenlag National High School. With the Success
of the conducted District Webinars, The teachers and all who joined the trainings had shown active
participation and learned a lot with the competent speakers invited.
A District In-service Training was successfully held last february 3-5 in cooperation with the
diligent technical working commitees chaired and co-chaired by Ronald Asuncion & Arvin Vinluan of
Doyon-Malabago National High School. Resource Speakers from the three days webinar shared their
Ideas and best practices in facilitating learning using technology-aide mobile applications and PC
Softwares that can be used in delivering learning. And to give additional information and skills to the
teacher-participants of DMNHS & BNHS some speakers from DMNHS and BNHS also shared ideas
and concepts on the ways of integrating social media platforms in delivering learning and relate with
the cultural diveristy of learners in digital classes.
The INSET 2022 chaired by Sir Ronald Asuncion achieved its objectives and purpose from
trainings to creating outputs made according to his accomplished narrative report attached below:
Pursuant to DepEd Order No. 29, s. 2021 (School Calendar and Activities for School Year
2021-2022), the Department of Education reiterates the conduct of In-Service Training (INSET) for
teachers from January 31 to February 5, 2022, the teaching staff of Doyong-Malabago National High
School, together with their School Head, Dr. Teody M. Delos Santos, organized a District In-Service
Training on February 3-5, 2022 via Zoom App.
The program commenced with a National Anthem via an audio-visual presentation. Dr.
Teody M. Delos Santos warmly welcomed and oriented everyone in the training. Sir. Arvin F. Vinluan,
Teacher II of Doyong-Malabago National High School, presented the participants. Afterwards, Dr.
Genoveva E. Ballesteros, Principal I of Buenlag National High School and Dr. Daisy G. Tello, Public
Schools District Supervisor of Calasiao II, gave inspirational messages.
For the first part of the session, Ma’am Phoebe Anne C. Mamaril, a Teacher I from Buenlag
National High School, discussed the topic “Developing Student’s Language Skills and Cultural
Thinking Using Social Media” afterwards, Ma’am Rowella A. Catugas, Teacher III of Buenlag National
High School discussed the topic “Tiktok for Education: Take it or Leave it”. Then Ma’am Irish Vivien Z.
Vinluan, Teacher II of DMNHS, reiterated the importance of google site in teaching.
Dr. Arjay U, Peralta, Teacher III of BNHS instigated the second day session by discussing the
topic “ Kaleidoscope World: Promoting Cultural Diversity in the Digital Classroom”, Next Sir Leceroy
C. Calzado, Teacher II of DMNHS discussed the topic “Using Google Form as a Tool for Assessment”
afterwards, Ma’am Rosie L. Donato, Teacher II of DMNHS emphasized the importance of Study Blue
as an Offline Teaching App. Lastly Sir Arvin F. Vinluan discussed the topic ‘Checking Learner’s
Assessments Using OMR”.
Last part of the session was the Presentation of Outputs of everyone as well as the Awarding
of Certificates. Closing Remarks was given by Ma’am Jasmin C. Agoncillo, Head Teacher III of Doyong-
Malabago National High School
The District In-Service Training has not only provided the participants to keep abreast of the
changes in Teaching-learning process. It also built a strong relationship and increased engagement to
the participants as well.
The District In- Service Training ended with the commitment of each teacher to improve
themselves more and develop a quality education system.
On the same days mentioned, other virtual training workshops and Re-Echo seminars were
also simultaneously conducted such as The District Training Workshop on Quality Assurance of
Learning Resource & District Re-echo Training Workshop on Designing Learning Interventions (DIL)
Through Differentiated Science Instructions, Activities & Outputs Participated by the teachers from
different schools from the district II-A.
In The District Training Workshop on Quality Assurance of Learning Resources chaired by
one of the most competent teachers in Mancup Elementary School, Master Teacher I Josenia V.
Tamayo, The program started with the introductory part of the event with the opening message of
Dr. Teody Delos Santos and Inspirational Message of Dr. Daisy Tello were they encourage the
teacher participants to expand their learning by attending such trainings to continue improve the
way the teachers prepare their instructional materials by making standards on the learning
resources given to learners to assure its quality.
On the first day of the sessions, Master Teacher I Josenia V. Tamayo discussed the
“Understanding of LRMDP” and its objectives in relation to assuring quality learning materials. Then
Master Teacher III of Domalandan Center Integrated School also backed-up the first session
discussed by deliberating her topic “Management of Style and Third Party Content”.
The second session of the program continued with the topic on “Ortograpiya ng Filipino”
which tackled on the proper writings, usage and creative use of the Filipino Language.
The discussion continued with the presentation of Madam Grethyl Espiritu, Master Teacher
II of Calasiao Central School with her topic on “Quality Assurance of Text-Based Learning Resources”
in which she has told the ways of reviewing and evaluating the methods of quality resources and in
designing and developing learning materials.
The Second part of the session continued with the topics shared and extensively discussed
by the expert resource speakers in making quality learning resources starting from the topic “
Referencing of Learning Resources” by Ms. Rowella A. Catugas, Teacher III & Mrs. Phoebe Anne C.
Mamaril, Teacher I of Buenlag National High School. Dr. Teody Delos Santos shared his expertise in
his presentation on “Guideline and Technical Specifications” in relation to assuring quality learning
materials.
On the last day of the program, a culminating activity was organized together with Mr.
Danilo G. Soriano. Jr, Head Teacher III/ OIC-SHS of Calasiao Comprehensive National High School who
helped the Dr. Teody M. Delos Santos and education personnel who evaluated the presentations of
the teacher participants on their outputs in line with the Quality Assurance of Learning resources.
Awartds for best presentation and Certificate of participation were honored to the teachers before
the end of the program.
After Quality Assurance for learning resources webinar, A three days Virtual District Re-echo
Training Workshop on Designing Learning Interventions (DIL) Through Differentiated Science
Instruction, Activities and Outputs (DSIAAO) for the Junior High School was also conducted
simultaneously to which the webinar was intended to equipped the teacher participants from
different schools in the whole district III-A with new ways of delivering learning in this time of health
crisis and as well as to remaster the methods of assessment, strategies and task in teaching Science.
The Introductory part of the program started after the conduct of the Philippine National
Anthem, Doxology up to the singing of SDO! Pangasinan Hymn. Mrs. Jona Rose Bruan, Teacher I of
Doyong-Malabago National High School presented the Science teacher participants from different
schools afterwards, Dr. Teody M. Delos Santos delivered his welcome remarks and encourage them
to embrace new innovations of delivering learning in science with the help of online educational
platforms and instructions related to science. Dr. Genoveva E. Ballesteros from Buenlag National
High School also showed her gratitude and warm-welcome to the participants. Dr. Daisy G. Tello,
PSDS Calasiao II expressed her appreciation to the organized flow of the virtual program in her
speech. Subsequently, Mrs. Jeannie L. Cos from Doyong-Malabago National High School explained
the setting of expectation and preliminaries before the actual re-echo training.
On the first part of the training, Mr. Mar John D. Cos, Teacher I from Doyong-Malabago
discussed his expertise elaborately on his topic Reflective Science Performance: A Backgrounder.
After Sir Cos from DMNHS, the second session was started with the topic of Sir Ramil R. Cefra,
Teacher III from Cabungas National High School entitled Assessment, Methods, Strategies and Task
(AMST) in which he carefully tackled these key instructions to the participants to reiterate its
importance in giving task to learners in their science subject. Sir Christian B. Masanto discussed the
Advance Assessment application in science after the last part of the training session.
On the next day, Mrs. Janet M. Nitura, Master Teacher I of Doyong-Malabago National High
School made a recap on the trainings done on the first day. Madam Naliza C. Delos Santos, Teacher
III of Daniel Maramba National High School shared her ideas and practice in her topic on
Differentiated Science Instruction, Activities, Assessments and Outputs. On the last part of the
training session, Mrs. Nimfa Langit, Master Teacher I of Mapandan National High School and Lorie
Mae N. Viduya PhD, Teacher III from Calasiao Comprehensive National High School elaborately
explained their topics on The Nexus between DLI and Science Performance and Differentiated
Learning Intervention in Science.
On the third day of the training session, Mrs. Celeste Galivo, EdD, Teacher II from Buenlag
National High School made a recap on the discussed topics on the second day. The topic of Madam
Louela S. Castro, Teacher III from Calasiao Comprehensive National High School on DLI
Implementation on Science was clearly expounded before selected teachers from different schools
in the district level presented their outputs in science following the ideas and knowledge discussed
to thme during the training. The virtual training seminar ended after the awarding of certificates and
the closing remarks of Mr. Mar John Cos.
Even when his days were filled with many scheduled activities and meetings, Sir Teody still
gets in touch with the needs and concerns of his teachers. Coupon Bonds & Health Essentials such as
box of face masks, soaps, detergent powders, hand, surface cleaner up to insecticides for cleaning
and protection. On the same week, the people from the office of the Mayor of Calasiao visited the
school and made assessments and inspection for the first phase of the planned Covered Gymnasium
promised by Honorable Mayor Joseph Bauzon during his speech in the induction program of officers
of Doyong-Malabago National High School last January 2022. And also the demolition of the old
buildings ware done after Sir Teody made a follow up request of the demolition in the Commission
on Audit. On the scheduled day of the same week were simultaneous activities were on going, A
preliminary Evaluation of classrooms were conducted in all rooms starting from classrooms up to
offices to measure the level of preparedness of Doyong-Malabago National High School for the
upcoming conduct of limited face to face classes headed by the PTA and Head Teachers.
Last February 8, DOREFI and Doyong USA President Sir Ernesto Abalos has able to allocate
paints and painting materials amounting to twenty thousand pesos (20,000) whch he donated to
Doyong-Malabago National High School as support for the improvement of the school. Sir Teody
with Sir Abalos, Teachers and volunteers all together painted all parts of the school building with
love and hope of making the school the most convenient school in Calasiao. It was a day well spent
for the school and the people who participated in the paint job activity.
The KIWANIS Club made a generous donation for the Gulayan sa Paaralan Project of Doyong-
Malabago National High School as the club gave cash amounting to Nine Thousand Pesos (9,000) for
the operating expenses of the Gulayan Project such as fertilizers, garden tools, seedlings and
materials that will be use to beautify the school vegetable garden. They were welcomed and assisted
by the head teachers and teachers of DMNS as they visited the on-going project.
The Doyong-Malabago National High School in pursuant to Deped Order No. 60s. 2021
piloted the Galaw Pilipinas: National Calisthenics Exercise Program wherein program promotes an
active life style for Filipinos that will benefit both their physical and socioemotional well-being and
other. Sir Teody together with head teachers and teachers from different department participated in
the exercise through a video presentation.
Selected Teachers from different grade levels of the Junior High School and teachers from
the Senior High School Department were awarded with the Certificate of Recognition and Prize as
their rooms had been nominated as best classrooms during the month of February. The awarding
was encourage by Sir Teody to motivate teachers to further prepare their classrooms in the
upcoming limited face to face classes and to see to it that every rooms were already conducive to
learning under given guidelines of Deped.
The Calasiao II District held a virtual district roll out on Comprehensive Sexuality Education
via zoom meeting which was participated by the selected teachers of Doyong-Malabago National
High School and Buenlag National High School.
The first day of training was attended by 25 participants. Dr. Daisy G. Tello, PSDS of Calasiao
II District gave her inspirational message to the participants. The school heads Dr. Teody M. Delos
Santos & Dr. Genoveva E. Ballesteros also gave their message of support on the organized webinar.
Three relevant topics were discussed on Day 1. The first topic was presented by Madam
Jennifer Manamtam, Teacher III of DMNHS. She discussed the Overview of the CSE focusing on the
Rationale, Legal bases, and Policy Guidelines. The second and third topics were presented by Dr. Riza
Posadas, Teacher III of BNHS. She clearly discussed the Entry Points of CSE Standards to the K-12
MELCS and gave an overview on the CSE Module/Manual and CSE Lesson Exemplars.
The participants were tasked to finished an output, whether in making an action plan or
lesson plan integrating CSE.
There were three presenters for Day 2. The first was discussed by Madam Marites Aguilo,
She gave a clear overview of CSE Primer Job Aid for Parents/Guardians Orientation. The topic on
Monitoring and Evaluation CSE Program was discussed by Madam Mary Ann Cristobal. Madam
Mariles Sarmiento, the last presenter discussed in details the action plan integrating the CSE.
The third day was the presentation and critiquing of outputs. And ended with Madam
Jennifer Manamtam’s Closing Remarks.
The narrative was accomplished by Dr. Riza Posadas of Buenlag National High School.
“A tap in the shoulder.” A gesture of trust and confidence that Sir Teody always gave to his
teachers in every endeavors they have to go on to reach another top of success. As he tasked his
competitive science department to battle with the Virtual Sylimpics together with their smart and
trained learners from different grade levels. The DMNHS bagged many places in the competition that
brought them to another step of academic excellence. The winners were as follows: Quiz Bee 2 nd
Placer Nathaniel Garcia, Grade II under the supervision of Sir Ronald Asuncion, Quiz Bee 10 th Placer
Allysa Samera, Grade 8 under Madam Janet Nitura, Eco & Technology Talk 9 th Placer Joan Poyaoan
under Madam Marilyn Mina, SIYENSIKULA 10 th placer Eingiana Ballesteros & Eingelica Ballesteros
under Ronald Asuncion and also under the Teacher Category, Module Writing for Grade 8, 3 rd Placer
Madam Janet Nitura, Module Writing for Grade 9 Madam Laila Ferrer and lastly The Outstanding
Science Enthusiast 5th Placer Sir Mar John Cos.
In relation to the contest joined by the Doyong-Malabago National High School, Sir Teody
also managed to made an entry in the District Virtual ASEAN Quiz Bee wherein the school won as
champion in the district level represented by the learner Miko Olermo, coached by Madam Aireen
Tapallas under Araling Panlipunan Department headed by Madam Marietta Macalanda, Head
Teacher III. And in the 3 rd Congressional District, Miko Olermo won 3 rd place defeating other schools
in the 3rd congressional district. With this academic achievement, The Doyong-Malabago National
High School under the supervision and expertise of Sir Teody was selected as the hosting school for
the Division Virtual ASEAN Quiz Competition joined by many schools in the whole Division I of
Pangasinan.
As Doyong-Malabago National High School not only continue to improve in its physical
facilities and inner system, the institution also continues to improve and excel in the Curriculum and
instruction as the English Department of Dr. Teody headed by Madam Vilma A. Aquino, Head
Teacher III with the current Reading & English Coordinator Madam Charisse Centeno and members
launched their Reading Program for learners with reading struggles entitled “Project LETRA: Let
Everyone Teach Reading Anywhere” with the assistance of parents, invited barangay officials and
with the special participation of the Philippine National Police wherein they gave the selected
learners with reading materials such as books and Reading Guide Booklets for the learners. The
program started with an invocation followed with the singing of national anthem and hymns. Dr.
Teody Delos Santos and Dr. Daisy G. Tello, PSDS of Calasiao II expressed their gratitude and support
on the launching of the reading program of the English department and left a very motivational
speech to the audience in relation to the program’s objectives. After the formal program, the
teachers of the English department explained the learners, parents and the volunteers of the PNP
the way the learners will be reformed under the said program in an audio-visual presentation, after a
while the parents and volunteers gave time for the learners to assist them in teaching reading.
In relation to curriculum and instruction, the Filipino and TLE Department Started their 2 nd
School Learning Action Cell wherein the selected teachers showed their Teaching Demonstration
integrating technology and new ways of delivering learning in the new normal set-up and in the
upcoming face to face classes. The demo teachers and participants were awarded with the
certificate of recognition and participation given by Dr. Teody Delos Santos and Madam Jasmin
Agoncillo, Head Teacher III. Sir Teody made his evaluation and assessment on the demonstration
presented by the teachers in which he was totally satisfied with their performance.
Through-out the whole month of February, this very industrious & workaholic man has done
so many accomplishments in his first three months at Doyong-Malabago National High School. He
still managed to inspect and monitor the schools everyday activities and plans for the upcoming days
ahead while his teachers were tirelessly working for the school, the school were already
benchmarked by teachers of Doyong-Malabago Elementary school in the cleanliness and orderliness
of the school.
The Faculty and Staff were also given instructions for the possible hosting of the school as
the first school to conduct the limited face to face classes in the whole calasiao during the meeting.
Renovation of comfort rooms and painting of step marks for social distancing were also done
in preparation for the upcoming classes.
