1. Programming Phase

• Information gathering (clients expectations, functional


needs, aesthetics etc.)
• Interview clients (goals and objectives)
• Site visit
• Obtain floor plans from architects, city hall etc.
• Inventory and analysis of existing furnishing and
equipment.
• Review of applicable codes and regulations.

• Preliminary design decisions. (bubble diagrams, matric

• Initial selection of furniture, materials, finishes and

updated throughout the projects.
• Helps the designer maintain control of the project.
• Manage time by breaking down into smaller units.
• Daily or weekly basis.

path method (CPM).
