REFLECTION NOTES
Evaluated with colleagues the effectiveness of teaching strategies that promote learner achievement in
literacy and numeracy.

In every undertaking, there must be something that you must learn and reflect on.

The LAC session was an excellent refresher for us teachers, who have been in the service for a
few years. I am very grateful we had this kind of LAC Session since it taught us how to prepare and
support our learners in literacy and numeracy.

First, it made me realize how vital literacy and numeracy are to children, and imparting knowledge
to my college on making learning easy and effective will make education reach its maximum potential.

I also noticed that kids during the pandemic showed significant back lagging numeracy and literacy.
My colleagues also confirm that their students also have the same case.

Second, we need this for our professional growth. As a teacher, we must equip ourselves based on
the learning needs of our students.

Lastly, we all know that literacy and numeracy form the foundations students need for deep learning
across the curriculum and developing skills essential to everyday life. Hence, the need to effectively teach
these is vital.
