system.
16. Solve for the resultant of the six loads on the truss shown in the figure. The loads are given in kips (K). Three loads are vertical. The wind
loads are perpendicular to the side. The truss is symmetrical.

18. Determine the resultant of the bell crank shown in the figure.
19. Three external forces are acting on a L-shaped body as shown. Determine the equivalent system through point O.
20. The three like parallel forces 100 N, F, and 300 N are acting as shown in the figure. If the resultant R = 600 N and is acting at a distance of
45 cm from A, then find the magnitude of force F and distance of F from A.

taken together, and (b) taken separately. Weight of cylinder A, B, and C are 75 N, 200 N, 100 N respectively.
22. Three spheres A, B, and C having their diameters 500 mm, 500 mm, and 800 mm respectively, are placed in a trench with
smooth side walls and floor as shown. The center-to-center distance of spheres A and B is 600 mm. The weights of the
cylinders A, B, and C are 4 kN, 4 kN, and 8 kN respectively. Draw a free body diagram of each of the sphere.
