3. Add 2 8 and 2 8 (4 marks)
4. Use fractions and mixed numbers to solve each of the following. State the answers
as whole numbers, proper fractions, or mixed numbers in the lowest terms.

job. Workers adept at problem-solving are better equipped to assess workplace obstacles
and find workable solutions. Challenges and unforeseen events are a part of every job in
any company. Employees with strong problem-solving abilities can detect issues,
investigate causes, brainstorm various solutions, and ultimately choose and execute the
one with the most impact.

Question 4 [20 Marks]
Algebra is just as important in business as it is in other disciplines. Business owners
employ algebraic procedures to figure out their financial standing. A businessperson will
utilize mathematics to determine whether stocking equipment won't depreciate over time.
In addition, a company owner must determine the minimum price at which a product may
be sold while still turning a profit. Knowing how to do algebraic operations is essential for
anybody working in the financial business because of the prevalence of algebraic
representations of exchange and interest rates.
Simplify the following expressions:

x2 +10x+25
2. Solve for D. (5 marks)
27D
P=
