USF - Solar Application Project August 2017 – November 2017


Outcome: Designed a 20KW Solar Power System with 4 hours of energy storage for application in Hong Kong, China. Estimated
available solar radiation and selected - Power System, Collector, Battery, and Inverter. Developed energy output from PV array
and estimated PV system sizing. Calculated energy output and performed economic analysis of the project.

USF PCGS - Food Friend App September 2017 – August 2018


Outcome: Compiled data research on Food Friend App surveys. Identified the needs vs requirements from the survey data to
determine the outcome and contribute to the value proposition diagram. Analyzed data and performed market research on current
food apps and software.

Managing a Technological Change at Florida’s Natural using Kotter’s Eight-Step Model May 2016 – November 2016
Outcome: In this group project, we worked with Florida’s Natural Growers (Cooperative Company) to help them recover from 3%
market share loss. We introduced a solution of using a new form of packaging for the 59-oz orange juice. We also advised the
company to sell the unused oranges affected by the Citrus Greening disease (HLB) to beer companies since the disease was not
harmful to humans and the oranges could be used as “hops” in beer manufacturing thus preventing food wastage.

Extraction of Glycyrrhizic Acid from Licorice Roots June 2014 – June 2015
Outcome: Experimented and achieved an optimum concentration of 86% from solute and solvent mixture to obtain Glycyrrhizic
acid from Licorice roots. Compared results from different extraction methods and proved Ultrasonic extraction method as the most
efficient method to obtain Glycyrrhizic acid of higher purity.

The Blending of Transformer Oil, Paraffin Oil & Quality Control (Savita Oil Technologies Ltd) April 2014
Outcome: Studied the blending process of Paraffin oils of IP Grade and Transformer oils of commercial grade. Proposed and
increased the efficiency of treated water at the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) by 3%. Managed the quality control of blended
Paraffin and Transformer oils to ensure consistency of the product.

Outcome: In this group project, we designed and built a tap for rural people to encourage better hygiene and sanitation. We also
developed an introductory video on the materials used for construction and discussed the incentives of a washing station.
Cochabamba Water Wars: The Role of World Bank August 2017 – December 2017
Outcome: In this group project, we analyzed problems faced by Cochabamba in Bolivia during the Water Wars. We used systems
thinking concepts to develop a Causal Loop Diagram (CLD) to understand all the stakeholders involved. We recommended
possible short and long-term solutions the World bank should have and will have to implement.

Waste Management Using Supercritical Water Oxidation September 2014


Outcome: In this project, I wrote a report in IEEE format on how Supercritical Water Oxidation is a unique method in sustainable
wastewater treatment and sludge destruction. My research emphasized why this method destroys organic waste safely without
generating hazardous emissions. I also evaluated reactor design, studied the economic benefits and potential limitations.

Perfection In Purity: Chemical Looping Air Separation February 2012


Outcome: In this group project, we explained the process of Chemical Looping Air Separation and the role it plays in the reduction
of CO2 emissions from coal power plants. We also analyzed the different methods of achieving process efficiency and compared
the pros and cons of the project based on technology, cost, and energy consumption.
