What is INTERNET ?

The Internet, sometimes called simply "the Net," is a worldwide system of


computer networks - a network of networks in which users at any one
computer can, if they have permission, get information from any other
computer (and sometimes talk directly to users at other computers).

What is a SEARCH ENGINE ?

The search engine that helps you find exactly what you're looking for. Find the
most relevant information, video, images, and answers from all across the
world. e.g. – www.google.com

What is a DOMAIN NAME ?

A domain name is a unique, easy-to-remember address used to access


websites, such as ‘google.com’, and ‘facebook.com’. This is what users type
in a browser's search bar to directly access your website. For example:
facebook.com.

.edu = Educational Sites
.org = Organizational Sites
.gov = Government Sites
.in = Indian Sites
.mil = military sites

What is a WEB BROWSER?

A web browser is an application for accessing websites. When a user requests


a web page from a particular website, the browser retrieves its files from a web
server and then displays the page on the user's screen. Browsers are used on
a range of devices, including desktops, laptops, tablets, and smartphones. E.g.
