PREFLIGHT CHECKLIST

BEFORE SENDING FILE TO JOSH or JOHN


is the artwork the correct size?
has the file been spell checked?
Are names, addresses, emails, websites and phone numbers correct?
Have all customer requests been fulfilled?
Does the artwork need bleed?
Does the artwork need crops?
Are images a high enough resolution?
Has a third party double checked the proof?
Has all important information been written on the wo? ie. UV coating, d/s or s/s,
sizes, qty, media, grommets, hole punch, folding, pricing, etc.
Has the setup fee or/and shop time been written on the wo and proof?
Preflight To Josh
Banners, Decals, Magnets, and ROLAND printing
All text converted to outlines?
All images converted to RGB?
Document in RGB mode?
.125in bleed around artwork if artwork has bleed?
File for Josh to print is saved as a PDF, default settings, with no crops
and bleed if needed?
Print File is named WO number_ProjectName_FINAL.pdf?
(ex 2345_BobsSign_Final.pdf)
Signs and CET printing
All text converted to outlines?
All images converted to CMYK?
Document in CMYK mode?
.1875in bleed around artwork if artwork has bleed?
File for Josh to print is saved as a PDF, default settings, with no crops
and bleed if needed.
Print File is named WO number_ProjectName_FINAL.pdf?
(ex 2345_BobSign_Final.pdf)
Preflight to John
Artwork flattened or all text converted to outlines?
If a business card is a .125in bleed around card regardless if bleed is needed?
If not a business card, does the artwork have a .125 bleed and crops?
Is the final artwork saved as a PDF with the Adobe PFD preset PDF X-4 2008 selected
and trim marks and bleed enabled if needed?
Have you outlined text and flattened any transparencies?
Is FINAL or RICOH on the end of the print file name? (ex BobsCard_RICOH.pdf)
