Users Manual
INTRODUCTION

ERATEC has added a new model to its series of Azan Re-


citing Clocks, which has received your appreciation since
its first launch. AZ-6100 Azan Clock.

Dear Customer; to acknowledge the AZ-6100 Model, ER-


ATEC Azan Reciting Clock and its functions and to use it
efficiently and easily, kindly read this Users Manual carefully
at least once. If there is anything you do not understand,
please contact us by phone, post or email as provided in our
Contacts section and we will be glad to assist you.

3. Setting the Country and City

1. Press the key for the country setting. Country


Code Number and the Country name in English will appear
on the screen.

2. Press the key. The Country Code Number will flash.


Find the country you have requested by using the keys

and .

3. To set the city, enter city searching mode by pressing


the key. Then press the key and find the city you

want by using the and keys.

4. Save your settings by pressing the key EXIT.

NOTE: Country and city names are arranged in an alpha-


betical order. There are 2000 cities in the memory.

4. Setting the Time and Date

There are two different calendars in the clocks; Muslim and


Gregorian Calendar. A selection is made between the Gre-
gorian and Muslim Calendar by pressing EXIT key. Date
and Time should be set within the Gregorian Calendar. Mus-
lim Calendar will set itself accordingly.

1. Press the key. TIME section will flash. Set the TIME

as you wish by using the keys and .


2. For MINUTE, YEAR, MONTH and DAY settings; continue
pressing in the same way and accordingly you will be

able to make the adjustments you want by using

and keys.

3. You can save your settings by pressing the EXIT


key.

5. Finding the Direction of Kiblah

1. After setting Country and City, Kiblah symbol will appear


on the lower left corner of the screen.

2. Please specify the north direction by using a compass.

3. Bring the north direction (N) of the Kiblah Direction


Indicator on the left corner of the clock, parallel to the North
Direction (N) shown by the compass in such a way that they
will both indicate the same direction. In this position the
direction which is pointed by the kiblah indicator shown
on the screen of the clock, will be the Kiblah Direction.

6. Setting Delta Function


(Setting Prayer Time Optionally)

With this function the adjusted Prayer Time can be set 90


minutes forwards or backwards (+, -) as you wish.
1. Enter DELTA Function by pressing the key 6 times.
In this case a DELTA text will appear on the bottom left cor-
ner of the display and the İ
MSAK text will flash.

2. You can set Beginning of Fasting time as you want by

using and keys. (If you wish, you can


change the settings of other times (Sun, Midday, Mid-
Afternoon, Evening, Night) in the same way by using the
key.)

3. Save settings by using EXIT key.

(For instance; if you adjust the value to -5 when the real


value of the Beginning of Fasting time of that day in the
memory of the clock is 3:15; the beginning of fasting time
will appear as 3:10. This will continuely apply automatically
on a daily basis until the settings are changed.)

7. Selecting Azan Music

There are 4 accents of azan music in your clock; Turkish,


Mecca, Egyptian and Jerusalem, as listed below.

AZAN SOUND No 1: Turkish Accent,


AZAN SOUND No 2: Mecca Accent,
AZAN SOUND No 3: Egyptian Accent,
AZAN SOUND No 4: Jerusalem Accent.

In order to select one of those accents;

1. Press the key. No:1 text TURKEY will appear


on the screen. When key is pressed one more
time, MAKKA on no 2, EGYPT on no 3 and AL AKSA on
no 4 will appear on the screen respectively.
2. After selecting the accent you want from those, save
your settings by pressing EXIT key.

8. Azan Sound On/Off

1. In order to enter Azan Sound On/Off function, press

the key. AZAN text will appear on the bottom-


left corner of the screen.

2. Use the key in order to select all azan times. (The


name of the selected azan time will flash on the screen.)

3. Turn on or off the azan sound volume of the flashing

(selected) time as you want, by using the key .


The loudspeaker symbol, which is shown among
the names of Prayer times on the screen, means
that the azan sound of that time is turned on.

3. Save your settings by pressing the key EXIT.

NOTE:

When you press key, you can hear the sound of azan
immediately. Normally; Azan is recited on the prayer time
automatically.

Morning azan is recited normally one hour before the sunrise


if Turkish accent is selected and when Ramadan function
is turned on in the month of Ramadan, azan will be recited
on the Beginning Time of the Fasting. Morning Azans
will be recited on the Beginning Time of the Fasting
irrespectively of the Ramadan function being on or off, if
the accents of Mecca, Egyptian and Jerusalem are se-
lected. Azan sound can be muted by pressing any key during
the reciting of Azan.

9. Azan Prayer On / Off

1. Press the key. The name of the azan accent,


that was previously selected, will appear on the screen.

2. When one of and keys are pressed,


DOAA ON or DOAA OFF text will appear on the bottom
left corner of the screen. Among those;

DOAA ON = Azan prayer on


DOAA OFF = Azan prayer off

3. Save your settings by pressing the key EXIT.

10. Adjustment of the Daily Alarm

1. Enter the daily alarm function by pressing the

key. DAILY AL. text and sign will


appear on the screen.

2. Press the key. Alarm CLOCK will flash. Find the

time you want by pressing the and keys.

3. Press the key, again. This time MINUTE will flash.

Find the minute you desire by pressing the and

keys.
4. Save your settings by pressing the EXIT key.

NOTE: To switch the daily alarm off, press exit


key twice followed by a single press of the EXIT key and

the sign will disappear.

11. Night Prayer Alarm Settings

1. Turn the Night Prayer Function on by pressing the key

for a while -3 seconds. NIGHT PRAYER text will


appear on the screen. In this case, azan will be recited at
night after 02:00.

2. Turn the Night Prayer function off by pressing the

key for a while -3 seconds.

12. Ramadan Function

When Ramadan Function is turned on; the clock will wake


you to sahur (the meal eaten before starting fasting) by
playing the drums exactly one hour before the Beginning
Time of Fasting on Sahur time. Hymn will be recited two
minutes before iftar (the breaking of the Ramadan fast)
time. Cannons will be fired after the hymn, exactly on iftar
time; and afterwards iftar prayer will be said by reciting the
evening azan.

To turn Ramadan Function on;

1. Turn Ramadan function on by pressing the key


for a while -3 seconds. RAMADAN text will appear on the
screen. Ramadan Function is said to be turned on during the
time that text remains on the screen.

2. Turn Ramadan Function off by pressing the key


again for a while -3 seconds.

13. Ablution Alarm and its Settings

Ablution Alarm function is an alarm notifying the prayer time


beforehand. This advance noification time can be set, up to
-59 minutes in advance and can be adjusted according to
your wish.

EXAMPLE: If the ablution alarm is adjusted as -10 at the


midday prayer; the clock will alert 10 minutes before at all
midday times with a BEEP sound.

1. Enter Ablution Alarm function by pressing the


key. AUTO ALM text will appear on the screen.

2. Press the key for setting the ablution alarm of the


midday prayer and enter “midday” time. Midday time will
flash.

3. Find the desired period by pressing the key.

4. Apply the same action for the other times.

5. After making the required adjustments for the times you


desired, save your settings by pressing the key EXIT.
14. DST (Summer/Winter Time) On/Off

Some countries apply the Summer / Winter Time Applica-

tion. Enter Summer Time by pressing the key, in which


case the Current Time and prayer times on the screen will
be automatically set one hour forward. When DST is turned
on, DST text will appear on the screen. DST can be turned

off by pressing the key again and the DST text will
disappear.

15. Key Lock On / Off

Turn the key lock on by pressing the key for a while –


3 seconds – in order to turn the key lock on-off. In this case
symbol will appear on the screen. Repeat the same
action in order to turn the key lock off.

NOTE; It is recommended to be keep the keylock off.

16. Degree
Temperature degree indicator is adjusted automatically and
shows the temperature degree of the location in C°.

17. Volume Setting

Use the and keys for increasing or decreas-


ing the volume of your Azan clock.

You must take this action while the clock is reciting


the azan;
1. Increase the volume by pressing - releasing the
key.

2. Decrease the volume by pressing - releasing the


key.

18. Battery
This clock works with three AA (Alkaline Battery). Level of

battery charge can be followed with the symbol on the


screen.
