Writing GCSE Geography coursework on a topic like CBD (Central Business District) can be a

challenging task. It involves a thorough understanding of geographical concepts, data collection,

analysis, and effective presentation of findings. Here are some reasons why students might find it
difficult:

1. Research and Data Collection: Gathering relevant data for a CBD coursework often
involves fieldwork, surveys, and data analysis. The process can be time-consuming and
requires careful planning to ensure accurate and meaningful results.
2. Analytical Skills: Interpreting geographical data and drawing meaningful conclusions
requires strong analytical skills. Students need to demonstrate a clear understanding of the
relationships between different factors within the CBD.
3. Effective Writing: Presenting findings in a coherent and well-structured manner is crucial.
Writing skills are tested as students need to communicate their understanding of the CBD,
backed by evidence and analysis.
4. Time Management: The coursework usually has deadlines, and managing time effectively is
essential. Balancing the research, data collection, analysis, and writing within the given
timeframe can be challenging.

Considering these challenges, some students may find it beneficial to seek assistance. However, it's
important to approach this carefully. While external help can provide valuable support, it's crucial to
maintain academic integrity. If a student needs assistance, they may consider seeking guidance from
teachers, classmates, or academic resources.

If someone is looking for additional support, ⇒ HelpWriting.net ⇔ is mentioned. However, it's

important for students to thoroughly research and consider the ethical implications of using external
help. Ordering assistance should align with academic policies and guidelines to ensure fair and
honest representation of their own work.

Remember, seeking help is not a problem as long as it is done ethically and within the bounds of
academic integrity. Students should prioritize their understanding of the subject matter and use
external resources as supplements rather than replacements for their own efforts.

shop with the best position on the High Street is Debenhams as it is on the corner of King Edward
Street and the High Street giving it a larger shop frontage to attract custom. Offices and shops
combined maede up only 15% of the land use in what we marked the CBD from the ground floor
land use data. We did this by keeping the tape measure tight at both edges. BBC - GCSE Bitesize:
Central business district (CBD). We will be looking at the own centre, inner city and suburbs. Terms

of gift shops and department stores on the High Street, both 7 altogether. The precision of our results
was very important as the results would not only be used to test our hypothesis about whether the
channel width can fit the Bradshaw Model but will also be used to work out the surface area which
is a product in the Discharge formula ( 5 ). This low demand means that the property owners must
find another way to occupy there building and hence why there are so many residential flats in the
suspected CBD. Some of these houses have loft conversions as they may have needed to increase
floor space to accommodate new family. The open space in these areas was generally bungalows,
relating back to the lower demand on land so they can afford to spread floor space out rather than
up. It is not a very populated area but it is quiet and clean. 5. Cecil Street has terraced houses and
also leather housing which have not been knocked down and they are still in use today. This will be
done by using the results from the Channel Width ( 1 ) and the Channel Depth ( 2 ) of the river at
each of the five sites. This would give us an overall total of 100 pebbles. Greenfieldgeography -
IGCSE and GCSE Geography Coursework. It used to contain leather factories but they got knocked
down and they where replaced by luxury flats. After the peak in the High Street there was a steep
downwards curve from then on as on the east side of the CBD is the river which marks almost the
end of the CBD. The methods used for each factor is explained in detail next. This is very peculiar as
you would expect there to be much less open space and no residential as the land in the CBD is very
expensive and valued very highly as so many people go there to shop. Tracker shows the source of

I had to hold the gun accurately against the red stripe on the ranging pole in the upper-stream,
pointing it to other ranging pole, in the downstream, where the other person from my group stood,
doing exactly the same thing. The idea of this booklet is for students to complete a range of

floor space as it is the centre of the city where most of the commercial retail area is so floor space is
valued very highly, so the buildings tend to be taller to accommodate these needs. There were also a

were looking for. This sphere of influence means that people come from all over Scotland to shop in
Perth and so there were a lot of people on the High Street. This was done to ensure that results were
accurate because if the width was measured at water level the current of the water will interrupt the
measurement, making it harder to have a firm grip which hence will lead to inaccuracy in the results.
The two people measuring the width kept the tape measure 20cm above water level (Figure 2). This
would give us an overall total of 100 pebbles. As we left the CBD we returned to mainly 2 storey
housing with a few loft conversions. This surprised me and doesn’t conform to a typical textbook
CBD. This was one of the few parts where we had to trust each others’ initiatives to give accurate
deductions. The sheets are designed to be slotted into lessons or can be used as part of a revision
programme.
The results are shown in the Data Presentation section of the coursework folder. We collected the
data to find out what each zone of the city is used for and ultimately delimit the CBD. The two
people measuring the width kept the tape measure 20cm above water level (Figure 2). The letter is a
clue to the answer Not my own idea but adapted from others. Enjoy. There is not enough business
demand in the city for there to be lots of offices on the first floor, also the smaller shops in the city
do not like to extend to the first floor as it limits customer accessibility and it was only really the
chain stores that expanded to the first floor. As we entered the CBD there were many shops this is
where much of the retail business in the city would happen and where the public would be attracted
to spend there money. This proved very subjective and it was hard to come up with a decision which
most of us agreed on since it was very ambiguous to differentiate between, say, a Sub-angular and a
Sub-rounded rock. It was impossible to mark a CBD from the data we collected. However, there was
a big difference to the number of people on the High Street compared to any other street which does
not agree to the textbook CBD. This high demand for land would also mean that it would be too
expensive to run any sort of industry and so they must find cheaper land outside the CBD. These
houses can afford to be less tall as there is more land to use and less demand for the land, as oppose
to the CBD. This data will be interpreted more closely in the Data Interpretation part of the
coursework folder. We found also that there was 16% of the land being used as residential and open
space and only 6% used for offices. This was done by have a 50cm stretch to suit the time we had at
the location, remembering that we also had other factors to measure. We walked through Park Street,
Bridge Street, Leicester Street, Hatherton Street, Cecil Street and Mellish Road. On the other hand,
if we chose to increase the spacing to 75cm, for example, it would be harder to keep and we will also
degrade the accuracy of our overall results, this is because measuring the depth will also help us to
explain the discharge’s hypothesis as the channel depth can be used to draw work out and draw a
surface-area graph, which is in the Discharge formula. I expected the buildings on the outskirts to be
less tall as they would have more room to expand out the way instead of up. It also has benches and
statues for people to relax and stay in the High Street. BBC - GCSE Bitesize: Central business
