1. Recode the variable ‘income’ into five categories of ‘ income group’ as follows:
Income ’Below 50000’; ‘50000 – 55000 ‘; ‘56000 – 63000 ‘; ‘64000 – 70000 ‘and ‘71000 and
above’

2. What is the average age of female students coming from Kolkata?

3. Compute a new variable Eligibility (EL)=[(Marks in Mathematics)2+(Marks in Statistics) + (Marks in


Accounts)3 - Age]/100.

4. Find Correlation between students marks in Statistics and Accounts and analyze the result.
