OBJECTIVES

Within 16 hours of exposure at The Doctors' Hospital Pediatric Ward, I will be able to:

KNOWLEDGE:

1. Review knowledge regarding the roles and responsibility of Head Nurse.


2. Identify what are the cause of the patient’s illness correctly.
3. Formulate appropriate nursing care plan related to patient condition effectively.
4. Provide health education to the patient and family comprehensively
5. Evaluate the effectiveness of the rendered interventions to the patient thoroughly.

SKILLS:

1. Gather all important information of the patient from the Kardex and patient chart
completely.
2. Interprets doctors order correctly.
3. Provides nursing care based on client’s needs effectively.
4. Assist the staff nurse in giving nursing interventions to the patient appropriately.
5. Maintains and updates documentation of patient care accurately.
ATTITUDE:

1. Always manifest the Augustinian core values (Unitas, Caritas, Veritas) all throughout
the duty.
2. Provide therapeutic environment to the client.
3. Respect the rights of the client.
4. Politely collaborate with other members of health care team.
5. Communicate with patients and folks in a therapeutically manner.
NARRATIVE EVALUATION:

I was able to lead my staff by establishing nursing standards, guidelines, and


procedures for patient care using the ideas of head nursing. Encourage staff nurses to
provide excellent nursing care as well. By putting a nursing plan into action that is based on
nursing care, we also control the flow of activities. In order to provide patient care, I also
coordinate and communicate with other members of the health team. Furthermore,
document precisely the observation of the services delivered to the patient. Additionally, do
routine rounds to monitor and assess the staff's performance in providing patient care. I was
able to gather all the information I needed on the patient's medical background and
Interprets doctors order. And my staff nurse and I worked together to create the
interventions needed for the patient.
