present a coherent and persuasive argument. The difficulty lies not only in the broad nature of the
subject but also in the need to address complex issues within the realm of education.

Firstly, selecting an appropriate and engaging topic is crucial. Education is a vast field with numerous
subtopics, making it challenging to narrow down to a specific area that aligns with your interests and
can captivate your audience. Additionally, finding a unique angle or argument that adds value to the
existing discourse requires creativity and critical thinking.

Furthermore, the depth of research required for an argumentative essay on education is substantial.
Accessing credible sources, analyzing data, and staying updated with the latest educational trends
and debates are essential components of crafting a well-informed and compelling essay. The
extensive research process demands time and effort, as it involves sifting through academic articles,
reports, and other relevant materials to build a solid foundation for your argument.

The complexity also arises from the need to consider multiple perspectives on the chosen topic.
Education is a multifaceted field with diverse stakeholders, including educators, policymakers,
students, and parents. Acknowledging and addressing different viewpoints while maintaining the
coherence of your argument requires a balanced and nuanced approach.

In terms of structuring the essay, organizing thoughts logically and ensuring a smooth flow of ideas
adds another layer of complexity. Crafting a clear thesis statement, providing evidence to support
claims, and effectively countering opposing views are essential elements that contribute to the overall
quality of the essay.

In conclusion, writing an argumentative essay on education involves navigating through the

complexities of topic selection, extensive research, consideration of diverse perspectives, and
meticulous structuring. It requires a combination of critical thinking, research skills, and effective
communication. However, with dedication and a systematic approach, one can overcome these

General Idi Amin Dada And The Act Of Killing
In both documentaries, General Idi Amin Dada and The Act of Killing, the authors spent
a considerable amount of time with the perpetrators of mass murder. In The Act of
Killing Joshua Oppenheimer gets access to the executioners, gangsters and paramilitary
leaders who carried out millions of mass killings. In General Idi Amin, Barbet Schroeder
spent time with the third Ugandan President and one of the greatest mass murderers, Idi
Amin Dada. Schroeder was able to document his firsthand account of events. These
documentaries demonstrate the kind of extraordinary access the authors were given and
their ability to document the unspeakably painful truth.
In both documentaries, the perpetrators seem to have the impression that they are in
control of the documentary. For instance, in The Act of Killing, the executioners set up
every scene playing as victim and perpetrators, and even going as far as hiring other
locals to play as victims. They acted as if they were the producers of the film by creating
the conditions, like choosing costumes, applying makeup, and setting up the villages to
burn them down. Throughout the documentary, the executioners directed the content and
edited the scenes. Likewise, Anwar Congo, one of the most brutal executioner, took the
responsibility of sitting in the director s chair. He exclaimed that it is important to tell
the story of the killings in a step by step process. This shows how the author is skillfully
suggesting to viewers that the film is
Sexism and Disney
For decades now, Disney Corporation has been providing us with countless films
made to delight and amuse children and adults alike. But not all Disney films seem
particularly appropriate for their target audience. Many of these films portray violence,
gender inequality, and skewed views of leadership roles that seem altogether
inappropriate for impressionable young children. Better and more contemporary
heroines need to be added to Disney s wall of princesses in order to counteract years of
sexism. Admittedly, many of Disney s original works are not being viewed by their
intended audience. Author of Patricia Digón Regueiro s states, it may be of interest to
know that in his early cartoons created by Walt Disneywere not directed at... Show more

Once again Snow White is saved not by her actions or words, but by her looks alone.
While violence is shown to a far lesser extent in this film compared to others, it is still
prevalent. When the Queen orders the huntsman to kill Snow White, she does not ask
for a simple death. She orders the man to hack out the young girl s heart and bring it to
her (in the original story, she does this so she can eat it. Thankfully, they do not
mention that in the movie). Despite being the protagonist, Snow White is never given
a chance to lead her own life. From the very beginning of the film, she is always
owned by someone else. First her stepmother controls her life, then the huntsman
orders her to leave, then it is the dwarfs (sic) who control and care for her well being,
and then it is the prince. Never once does she resist or attempt to go out on her own.
By the end of the film, she does not even protest a near stranger kissing her as she
sleeps. In fact, she figures that s reason enough to run away with him! Beauty and the
Beast is another film with questionable morals. Despite a sixty year time span between
the two films, gender relations changed very little. Though the main characters come off
as slightly more rounded, there are still some eerie instances that should be addressed.
Belle is (yet again) a stunning young woman who is revered throughout for her
Peter Paul Rubens Essay
In 1600, Peter Paul Rubens left his home in Antwerp, and he set off to Italy. Soon after
arriving in Italy, Ruben entered the service of the Duke of Mantua, Vincenzo Gonzaga.

The duke s palace had a great art collection, and Ruben found time to visit various other
cities in Italy since he wasn t expected to be at the household all of the time.

Rubens completed his education in Rome.

During Rubens first visit to Rome, he painted 3 altarpieces for the Church of Sta Croce.

In 1603, Peter s duke sent Peter on a diplomatic mission to Spain where he made an
equestrian portrait of the Duke of Lerma.

In 1605, Rubens decided to stay in Rome for 3 years, and during this period of, he
commissioned and created various pieces of art and decoration.

Maria in Vallicella. At first, he created an altarpiece that showed St. Gregory, various
other saints, and Madonna and Child. The poor lighting in the church did not make a
good impression of this altarpiece. Then, Rubens decided to replace this altarpiece with
three images painted on slate.

His mother s sickness and death would change Rubens career forever. When Rubens
heard that his mother was sick, he left Italy to return to Antwerp, but he would never
come back.

In Antwerp, the sovereigns, or rulers, of Spanish Netherlands appointed Ruben as court

painter. Archduke Albert and his consort, Isabella.

Rubens created the Four Philosophers , and the humanistic atmosphere pf Antwerp
helped to inspire and influence the work of art. This painting is a commemorative one
with Justus Lipsius with 2 pupils being Rubens and his brother.

The Raising of the Cross meant for the church of St. Walburga, and this piece of art made
him the leading master of the city.

Soon after, Rubens created hunting pieces with men fighting beasts as well as more
religious yet worldly pieces of art such as Descent From the Cross and Great Last

Consequences of Passion Exposed in The Romance of Tristan and Iseult

The story of Tristan and Iseult celebrates the triumph of adultery. When looking vaguely
at this romance, readers may think the potion of love that they both drink is the one that
makes them to commit adultery. However, this is only a representation of the power of
passion and lust Tristan and Iseult have for each other.

To better understand this love story, one must realize that Tristan is a marshal hero who
volunteers to take a battle against the King of Ireland, in order to redeem the people and
the monarch of King Mark. It would therefore, be suitable to say that King Mark has
given his nephew the trust to accomplish the mammoth exercise. In Ireland, Tristan ...

This is where the story of Tristan and Iseult takes a twist because the reader knows
enough that Tristan, if given the chance, would like to have Iseult for himself. It is
fascinating therefore, when Iseult s mother entrusts Tristan with the potion of love that
should only be shared between King Mark and Iseult. By this time, Tristan and Iseult
have developed passion in each other, and the potion they would drink only enhances
the chemistry that is already existent. To not drink the potion, which Tristan knows
would cause Iseult to love him even more, is attempting to remain dishonest to his true
self. Tristan is not just an ordinary man; he is a war hero seducing the would be queen
of Cornwall. Because of this predicament, Iseult as the wife to the king is to engage in
adulterous affair with Tristan to reinforce the courtly love value, while Tristan gains
access to Iseult through chivalrious prowess. The potion of wine therefore, serves as a
big temptation for both, and the Christian ideal that is forced into the situation by the
hermit stands as an experiment.

How then can all these three values be reconciled in this story? I think it is not only the
flaw displayed by medieval people like Tristan to succumb to the temptation of fulfilling
sexual desires. The concept of eat, drink and be merry comes into play in this story and
quite evidently, even in our contemporary society, we have not
Villains of All Nations
The Villains of All Nations is book written by Marcus Rediker that follows the origins
of the pirate boom before and after the War of Spanish Succession. The book covers
infamous pirates like Bartholomew Roberts, William Fly, and Edward Teach also known
as Blackbeard. It discusses the grim environment of working the seas for the government,
what lead many people to turn to piracy, the tale of the first women pirates Anne Bonny
and Mary Read, how piracy impacted slavery, the pirates bonds of brotherhood under the
Jolly Roger, and the events that lead to the death of the pirate era itself. Many times the
writing style of the book at time felt distracting, confusing, and even frustrating. For
example, whenever Rediker would refer to a quote... Show more content on

The brand of justice pirates toward vessels they captured was something I found
fascinating. For example, on page 88, the incident involving the capture of Captain
Snelgraves vessel by the pirate Thomas Cocklyn. Initially Snelgrave resisted Cocklyns
takeover so as Cocklyns crew overpowers Snelgraves and is taken by the pirates.
Certain that Snelgrave will be killed or beaten for resisting, Snelgraves crew comes to
their captains defense thus Cocklyn sparring the respected captains life. Because of
the degree of respect Snelgraves had, Cocklyn not often seeing a government captain
holding such admiration from a crew offered him a new ship and profits from a
captured slave ship for his return to England. This story really caught my attention
because of the level of hospitality pirates show to a captain who held such respect
with his own crew. Putting myself in the the position of a sailor back in that time I can
see why many were attracted to the life of a pirate. The life of a sea faring man during
the early 18th century was a grueling way of work. Wages were low, decease was
rampant, ships were cramped, and discipline from officers was brutal, sometime
murderous. The pirate life symbolized freedom and liberty and a brotherhood that stood
for being one for
Golden High School Narrative
It was a normal morning, still laying down in the warm embrace of my down
comforter. I set my daily alarm to go off at 5:50 a.m., and after about 5 clicks of the
snooze button, I muster up the courage to emerge from the sheets like a kodiak leaving
hibernation. I opened my window and a light haze covered the horizon just over the flat
shallow mountains to the west. The sunslowly dissolved the haze and it is still yet,
another normal fall Colorado morning. In fact, I remember Halloween being right
around the corner , passing all of the bloody clowns and gargoyles which laced the house,
as my mother is very festive this time of year. I grab my breakfast consisting of a cherry
pop tart, brush my teeth and got in my red Ford Escape so I could... Show more content

Music turned up louder than it should have, I quickly merge into the lane in between a
very thin gap with a old Ford F 150 to my front and a small sedan to my rear. One of
the many magpies which live in Golden caught my eye, adding to the distraction of my
loud music, now my eyes were chasing the black and white tail of a magpie. Quickly
approaching Golden High School s parking lot, I continued to give the music and
magpie more attention than the 4,000 pound pick up truck in front of me. I
immediately suffer the consequences. The F 150 halts to a stop becoming a multi ton
hindrance in the road. Unable to react in time, I skit and slam into the tailgate. My
radiator was demolished by the solid steel ball hitch which extends past the end of the
tailgate. It then continues past my radiator with ease, causing my airbags to go off. I
smashed, head first, into the airbags and my knees where cut from hitting the
dashboard so hard. I got out of the car, whole body trembling in fear, I meet the
passengers of the truck. It was a girl from school, she asked, Are you alright, not
knowing the honest answer to that question I just said in a shaky voice, I ll be fine let
s just look at your car and check the damage. Sure enough, all that was wrong with her
bumper was a small dent maybe a foot across. I told her to just go to school and that I
