Strategic HSE Objectives


The safety of people, the environment and equipment is of the highest priority for Tarn Energy (U)
limited. The Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) therefore forms an integral part of our striving
for the highest quality in products, services and processes.

Objectives
Short Term HSSE Objectives
1) Implement an integrated management system for environmental and occupational safety,
health and fire protection and quality assurance throughout Tarn operations by 2020 so that
HSSE forms an integral part of our daily business
2) Develop and continuously provide environmental and safety training to employees,
contractors, and subcontractors whilst ensuring that selected Tarn HSSE training courses are
completed yearly and personnel receive a grade of at least 75%.
3) By August 2019, improve our overall HSSE competence management system to cover all
employee aspects so that staff roles, skills and development is clearly identified and
adequately supervised through a learning management system to ensure Tarn meets its
strategic business goals.
4) Create and implement a zero workplace accident/incident program through training and
development of HSSE best practices on a daily basis.

Long Term HSSE Objectives


1) By August 2019, attain certification in at least one ISO standard 9001, 18001 or 14001 so that
operational activities and product/service development process are standardised to assure
clients of best quality is met at all levels.

2) Establish an effective supplier evaluation system based on HSSE, monitoring and auditing
major suppliers and/or partners so that our HSSE management system is extended to reach all
key business links by December 2019.
3) Reduce packaging materials and prioritize the use of environmentally friendly materials
4) Reduce resource consumption (energy, water, chemicals)
