The document discusses the pros and cons of immunization. It notes that some parents believe vaccines like the MMR cause autism, but the evidence does not support this claim. While mercury in large doses can be toxic, the form found in thimerosal requires huge amounts to cause harm. Both parents and healthcare providers want to protect children from disease. Parents should make informed decisions based on scientific evidence rather than emotions. Immunization helps build immunity and prevents illness spread.

Example Essay Speech

Writing an essay on the topic of "Example Essay Speech" may initially seem like a straightforward
task, but as one delves into the intricacies of crafting a compelling and coherent piece, the
complexity becomes apparent. The challenge lies not only in presenting a well-structured essay but
also in ensuring that the content is engaging, informative, and aligns with the intended purpose.

Firstly, selecting the right examples to illustrate the points made in the essay requires careful
consideration. Choosing relevant and impactful examples is crucial for conveying the message
effectively. It demands research, critical thinking, and the ability to discern which examples will best
support the essay's thesis.

The organization of the essay is another hurdle to overcome. Crafting a clear introduction that grabs
the reader's attention, developing a logical and flowing body that presents arguments cohesively, and
concluding with a strong and memorable ending – these are all aspects that demand time and skill.

Moreover, maintaining a balance between providing examples and offering insightful analysis is
essential. Too many examples without proper analysis can make the essay feel superficial, while an
excess of analysis without concrete examples can render it abstract and disconnected from real-world
scenarios.

Additionally, the language used in the essay should be precise, coherent, and tailored to the intended
audience. Achieving the right tone and style requires a keen understanding of rhetorical devices,
appropriate vocabulary, and the ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and accessible
manner.

In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of "Example Essay Speech" requires a combination of
research, critical thinking, organizational skills, and effective communication. It is a task that
demands careful consideration of examples, thoughtful analysis, and a mastery of language. Despite
the challenges, the process of crafting such an essay can be a valuable learning experience.

Essay about Use of Satire in Voltaire s Candide
Successful Use of Satire in Voltaire s Candide

Voltaire s Candide is the story of how one man s adventures affect his philosophy on
life. Candide begins his journey full of optimism that he lives in the best of all possible
worlds, but he learns that it is naïve to say that good will eventually come of any evil.

Voltaire successfully uses satire as a means of conveying his opinions about many
aspects of European society in the eighteenth century. He criticizes religion, the evils
found in every level of society, and a philosophy of optimism when faced with an
intolerable world.

Candide portrays religious persecution as one of the most worst aspects of society.

Christianity teaches that we are all God s children, but the Negro is a slave to a cruel
master that has cut off his arm and leg. The old woman tells Candide a story of a
supposed holy man that convinces the Janizaries not to kill the women for food, but
only to slice off one of their buttocks to eat. This pious and compassionate Moslem priest
convinced them that heaven will be pleased by such a charitable action (Voltaire 48).

Voltaire attacks the corruption within the church and its officials as well. The Grand
Inquisitor, a significant clergyman, makes Cunegonde his mistress at a Mass service.
Even more ironic is that he shares her with a Jew. It was a Franciscan priest that
robbed Lady Cunegonde of her money and jewels. The old woman identifies herself as
the bastard daughter of a pope, and the papacy is also identified as keeping soldiers for
private use. When Candide is ill in France, a clergyman is one of the many that harasses
him in attempt on his wealth. Ironically, the disease that Pangloss catches from Paquette,
originated from a Franciscan priest. Voltaire portrays the church as violent and corrupt
and the clergy as parsimonious fortune hunters.

Candide also discovers evils in every level of society. Voltaire criticizes the inordinate

The Ring Of The Phone Momentarily Halted The Ever
Present...
The ring of the phone momentarily halted the ever present tears. Hello, I said softly,
Oh, hi. It had been at least a year since I had last spoken with my father and I didn t
quite know what to say. Trying to keep the crack out of my voice I told him of the
impending divorce. I love you, he said. I never knew, I replied. I could hear the tears
falling compassionately on the other end of the phone. I m sorry, I said. I didn t mean
to hurt you. I just never knew you loved me. Tears prevented either of us from
speaking. Then we shared a little more and hung up. A particular sadness circled but I
didn t want to reflect on it at the time. Throughout his life, in his own way, my dad did
loveme. Gone during the week, and home only on weekends, didn t allow us to spend
time alone with each other. Maybe I just don t remember. Isn t a father just supposed to
love his children? A lover of animals, my dad could not stand to hear the painful wails
of the dog next door tied to a tree so he went over and brought her home. The neighbors
went on vacation leaving their teenage son to care for the dog which he did not. We
named her Spooky and I guess the neighbors didn t care as they never said a word.
Spooky and my dad were buddies and if we went out for an ice cream cone, Spooky went
too, and was treated to her own cone. Another evening, my parents were in the park
across the street from our home waiting for the Labor Day concert and pageant to begin

To convince them otherwise, Ted takes an earthmover and rams down a section of the
city wall to reveal the environmental destruction outside. Horrified at the sight and
inspired by Ted s conviction, the crowd defies O Hare, with his own henchmen
expelling him from the town. The seed is finally planted, and Audrey kisses Ted on the
cheek. Time passes and the land starts to recover; new trees sprout, the animals begin to
return, and the redeemed Once ler is happily reunited with the Lorax who has also
returned.

LESSON The story is all about taking care of mother nature. The movie has a lot of
messages. First, it is telling us to stop deforestation and pollution. Second, it tells us
not to use too much of one thing. Third, it s telling us to recycle things that can be
recycled. The story is also trying to tell people that if its only one person doing a good
thing and the rest are not, nothing good will result from the person s good did. The
movie leaves an amazing message to the viewers, Unless someone like you cares a
whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It s not.

ARTISTRY I liked the artistry of the movie. It is a light, bouncy, and candy colored
movie. I liked how they made everything to be easily understood by the children. The
movie was really colorful and an eye opener. How they portrayed the Truffula Trees was
really good. The trees were really colorful. The musics used in the movie were really nice
Immunization Pros And Cons
Many parents believe that the MMR vaccine is the cause for the so called Autistic
Epidemic. According to the Scientific American, Across a mere 10 year period 1993 to
2003 statistics from the U.S. Department of Education revealed a 657 percent increase in
the nationwide rate of autism. (Arkowitz and Lilienfeld) Parents often worry that a
mercury based chemical called thimerosal causes very serious side effects including
autism. Mercury, especially the methylmercury found in fish, can be toxic at high doses.
Although the ethylmercury, found in thimerosal, contains a different chemical
compound making it much easier to excrete and would need to be taken in ludicrous
doses in order to experience any severe side effects. Likewise, several... Show more

Parents need to protect their children from diseases that might be fatal. Health care
providers strive to rid everyone from disease and hope that they can cure as many
people as possible. Together, everyone can become more informed about how to protect
themselves and their loved ones. The healthcare providers need to prepare themselves to
answer patients in a reasonable fashion when worried parents come in asking for advice.
Parents need to consider the scientific evidence rather than emotional experiences when
deciding whether or not to vaccinate their child. If they want their child to have a strong
immune system, have little to no risk at getting seriously sick, and help prevent illnesses
from spreading then they need to get their children immunized. The government can help
prevent people from getting ill by funding projects that will help others innovate safer
vaccinations. Throughout history, vaccinations have saved countless lives and saved
children from becoming permanently disabled, we need to support immunizations to
