Example Philosophy Essay

Crafting an essay on the topic of "Example Philosophy Essay" presents a unique set of challenges.
Firstly, delving into philosophy requires a thorough understanding of complex concepts and theories,
demanding extensive research to comprehend various perspectives. This intellectual depth is crucial
for constructing a well-informed and cohesive argument.

Moreover, the art of philosophical writing demands clarity and precision in expressing intricate ideas.
Translating abstract thoughts into coherent sentences requires a meticulous choice of words and a
keen awareness of the nuanced meanings behind philosophical terms. Balancing conciseness with
depth is a constant struggle, as philosophical essays often involve exploring profound ideas within a
limited word count.

The challenge intensifies when attempting to present an original perspective. Philosophical discourse
often builds upon centuries of intellectual tradition, making it difficult to find a novel angle or
argument. Developing a unique viewpoint requires not only a deep understanding of the subject
matter but also a creative approach to synthesizing existing ideas.

Additionally, structuring a philosophical essay is a delicate task. The flow of ideas must be logical
and seamless, guiding the reader through a complex web of concepts. Creating a clear thesis
statement, supporting it with well-organized arguments, and addressing counterarguments all
contribute to the overall difficulty of composing a philosophically sound essay.

In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of "Example Philosophy Essay" is a formidable task that
demands a profound understanding of philosophical concepts, clarity in expression, creativity in
forming original perspectives, and mastery in structuring complex ideas. However, for those seeking

Analysis And Reflection Of Odysseus
Passage
Analysis and Reaction
I don t know if your father is alive or dead, but I suspect that he s alive. He s a tricky one,
Odysseus, and he knows how to land on his feet. He s very good at looking after his
own interests, is your father, [Mentes said.]
I nodded, my mouth suddenly dry.
My counsel to you is to go out in search of him. Find out if he s dead, in which case
your mother should marry again and you can make your way in the world. Or if you
learn he s alive, you can try to bring him home. Hanging in the air between us was the
question: Why wouldn t he come home in his own? We both ignored it, and Mentes went
on, Either way, you re old enough now to take the journey.
But where should I go? [I said.]

Moreover, Telemachos clearly harbors some anger and/or confusion toward his father, as
shown when he mentions that he and Mentes both wonder why Odysseus wouldn t come
home on this own. (However, this also demonstrates Mentes s faith in Telemachos since
he is nonetheless giving Telemachos this assignment despite that he knows it would
make more sense for Odysseus to return to Ithaka on his own.)
Reading this passage also reminded me of a self connection that I bear to this specific
situation in the plot. I have never been assigned the daunting task of venturing out and
returning my father to his rightful home; yet, I played a big role in restoring my father
s and my relationship. This makes me want Telemachos to be even more motivated and
invokes a positive and hopeful feeling inside of me that Odysseus and his son will
reunite. For some small chunks of my childhood (which when grouped together don t
seem so small anymore), I lived without speaking to my father or knowing of his
whereabouts. My birthplace is New York City, but upon moving to Ohio without my
father, our relationship was strained and continued to have highs, lows, and phases you
could call in betweens. Finally, several months ago, after concealing my true feelings for
seven years, I ended up brain dumping my
Analysis Of Minority Report
The 2002 film, Minority Report, seems to contain the aspects of a Kantian approach, but
when analysing the movie in further detail, does it hold its place? The Pre crime program
punishes individuals for having the intent to murder another, even when the action does
not take place. Kant elaborates his standards pertaining ethics in Groundwork for the
Metaphysics of Morals, where Pre crime can be further understood. Minority Report
takes place in the year 2054, crime is virtually eradicated from Washington D.C. due to
the Precrime crew. The program uses three gifted humans, known as Pre Cogs, to see in
the future and predict crimes beforehand. John Anderton, the head of Precrime, believes
that the system is flawless, however, the Pre Cogs... Show more content on

Kant s first proposition is an action has moral worth only if it is done out of duty, such
as when someone who has absolutely no interest in donating to the poor does so out
of duty. His second proposition is that action has moral worth not because of its aim,
but because of the maxim on which it is based, meaning that it would not matter if the
intent failed, as long as the principle was good. His third proposition is that duty is the
necessity of an action from respect for the law, such as if an individual is in an
embarassing spot, they could will the lie, but not will the maxim to lie. Kant argues
that everything is secretly done in self benefit, an example can be an individual helping
another merely for the fulfilled feeling. Comparing Kantian aspects to Minority Report
can be done with ease. Kant s second proposition, that an action has moral worth
because of its maxim, can be further understood in the Pre crime stance. The Pre crime
organization is in place in order to stop murders. Individuals, such as Anderton, are
sought out to be arrested before they even comprehend the crime. However, Kant would
argue that the arrest is valid due to the fact that they are capable of such an intention,
even if the act was not committed. Emotions are something people tend to little to no
control on, which leads to crime of passion, or the red balls, being produced. These
Reflection On The Environment
To be honest, I never have given the environment any thought and what my opinion
would be on the topics that I hear around me. Sure, I ve heard about environmental
issues on the 6 O Clock news, but never did I think about it for more than a few
seconds and what position I would take on the topic of the day. After even just a few
days of taking my environmental issues class, I realized that my opinion and position on
certain topics do matter and that every little thing we do has such an extreme impact on
something in nature somehow. One thing that I have definitely taken away from the
class so far on the food chainor the circle of life and how it ties into other events
occurring right now. It has been just a coincidence that during this period of time while
taking this environment class that the hurricanes in the southern states and islands have
occurred which have had a tremendous impact on our environment. The last topic that I
want to discuss is how this environmental class and the simple effort of informing
myself has changed my perspective of every animal s purpose on this planet, and finding
a new respect for these beautiful creatures that we share the world with.

When you think of a food chain, you automatically know that humans are at the top,
which still holds true, however myself and probably many other people only associate
ourselves as the dominant species along with other animals such as wolves, bears etc.
being the primary consumers. In reality, theres so many more levels on the food
chain, making it a lot more complex system than it seems. You may ask why this is
important or why I am even talking about it, and it the simple fact that I find myself
guilty of being so selfish and not thinking about the bigger scheme of things. By
learning how other animals interact in the lower part of the food chains gives you a
new found respect for the food that you eat, along with a newfound respect for the
animals themselves. Us humans being the top predators, we don t think about how
polluting the areas around us, and causing the air to be toxic affects these animals, even
as little as bugs. However, those little bugs are what fuels other animals higher up on the
food chain and eventually supplies us
Green Roof Farming In The United States
In many parts of the United States, land for agriculture is becoming scarce. At the
same time, people want to eat foods with healthy, fresh ingredients. These two trends
have combined to create a new approach to farming on the roof. Rooftop farming has
its origins in the green roof movement, in which building owners plant grass and other
vegetation on the roof. So called green roofs have a number of environmental benefits,
including reducing temperatures and energy usage. In addition, green roofs often
provide habitat for animals and a welcome respite for city dwellers. Over time, people
have taken the concept of a green roof a step further, adding garden plots with herbs or
berries. More recently, larger commercial farms have begun to appear
A Streetcar Named Desire Scene 6 Essay
A Streetcar Named Desire continues to build suspense among every page and through
every act. Scene six begins with Mitch and Blanche returning from a long night out.
Blanche insists that since the man and lady of the house aren t home yet, that he come
in. She leaves the lights off while she explains to him that Stanley simply doesn t like
her. Also, she tells him the story of when she was younger and how the boy that she
loved and married had cheated on her with a man. It is then the next scene and
considered to be Blanche s birthday. Stanley tells Stella many lies that he found that
Blanche had dug herself into while Blanche was taking a warm bath to calm her nerves.
Stella refused to believe them! Meanwhile, the three occupied chairs... Show more

I now think that Belle Reve is gone for good and that Stanley is not going to hurt
Blanche, but instead try to remove her from his home. Moreover, there are three
whole acts left to read. That s room for a little more action! Perhaps Blanche
reconnects with Mitch before she leaves and maybe she winds up staying with him.
Mitch seems to be a very kind and caring gentleman. I feel like he will open back up to
Blanche. What if she does move in with him? Stanley probably wouldn t take that very
well because he wants her completely out of sight and away from his family. Blanche
is likely to stay though not only for Mitch, but the baby that Stella is expecting as well.
She s going to be an aunt! One would think that an aunt would want to see and connect
with her niece. Tennessee Williams, the author, seems to be funneling his story to an
end by giving away a few truths about Blanche. He does this also by Stanley finally
making a move and giving her a bus ticket for the way out. It s a great way to tone
everything down as the book comes to an end. Lastly, a personal connection has been
made through the book with myself and Blanche. When she needs to calm her nerves
or think about something, a warm bath is the first solution. I am the same way! Some
warm bath water in a good and quiet room makes for a relaxing time. The real world is
very much relatable to this play in many ways, one of them being the rumors that are
spread.
