ANCIENT HISTORY ● Source should not be frequently changed , as this is a particular subject which is very hard to memories and also most of the people feel disinterested reading the same. ● Some of the common sources selected by students , you can choose either of these- 1. Old Ncert R.S Sharma 2. New Ncert books 3. Tamil Nadu Ncert ● (You can choose any of them ,but none can give you 100 percent gurantee). ANCIENT HISTORY ● Some of the important topics here- 1. Tamil nadu book ● Again this a challenging part need several revision and sticking to one source. ● Knowing your own limitation that you cant learn and memories everything ,so you have to be very smart. Medieval history ● Terms related to socio-cultural-political-economical milieu is very important here .You will find so many terms in this subject. ● Traveller and there observations . ● General idea of which kingdom came when ,and ruled where ,who were contemporaries ,as one can see a lot of kingdoms blooming in this phase. ● Land administration ,specially the changes brought by akbar ,sher shah suri and alauddin khilji . Art and Culture ● A subject which is most challenging ,books are so bulky . ● You have below options- 1. Nitin singhania 2. Fine Arts Ncert 3. Art and Culture ● After that Bhaktism and sufism is highly important . Important schools , saints , time period should be kept in mind while reading this topic. ● Sangam literature , and literature in general is also important .Again a headache to remember so many things. But we have no options either. ● Ajanta ,Ellora ,Elephanta are highly important . ● Culture /festivals /dances of North East India are highly important. RNA ,DNA , Hereditary diseases and other happenings in biotechnology. 3. Advancement in space and astronomical science ● You can read few chapters of Ncert biology to get familiar with the terms ,otherwise this is current oriented in nature. MAP ● Indias map and world map , whenever there is some place ,sanctury ,river etc is in news , do see that in map .Make it a habit while reading magazine. ● If you will dedicatedly study only map for one day ,outcome will be a bit less, regular habit is needed. This will also help you in mains to get few extra marks. USE OF MNEMONICS ● Some do use this to remember important facts- 1. Like KUMB JAT for states having legislative council 2. GURU JI SITA AB SSC FCI ME kaam karti hain for remembering G20 countries
