Health And Safety Requirements For Computer Aided

LO 1.1 Health Safety Requirements for Computer Aided Drafting and Design
(CADD) Users. The current requirements for health and safety for CADD users who
use Visual Display Units (VDUs) for their work, is specified by the Health and Safety
(Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992. In this section of the assignment, I
will identify some of the most common health and safety concerns and specify the
steps that employers and employees need to follow in order to comply with the law
and to work safely, including guidelines for workstations, work environment and other
equipment. Physiological Factors Affecting CADD Users VDUs is a term which
encompasses monitors, display screen equipment (DSEs) iPads etc; any screen
(usually forming part of a computer) that displays text, numerical data, or graphics.
VDUs have been accused of causing a whole range of health problems, but in general
these health issues arise as a result of VDUs being used incorrectly rather than the
VDUs themselves. One of the most commonly reported health issues relating to VDU
usage is repetitive strain injury (RSI) however the cause is usually a more generalised
group of disorders known as upper limb disorders . (Health and Safety Executive, 2011)
Many of the disorders affecting the upper body are exacerbated by stress that can be
mitigated by making some simple changes to the work environment. Firstly, ensuring that
employees have undertaken the correct training in how to use hardware, software and
Southern Gothic Characteristics
The Traits of Southern Gothic Literature American Literature was shaped by the
traditions of the Southern Gothic genre by exposing the dark side of the south. It
criticizes the moral blindness of Race/ Class/Social Structure, Being an outsider,
hypocrisy, Unrequited love, disturbed personality and much more. These traits exemplify
the personalities and scenarios of the characters in the stories. Some examples of Southern
Gothicworks are A Good Man is Hard to Find by Flannery O Connor, The Possibility of
Evil , by Shirley Jackson, and A Rose for Emily by William Faulkner. In A Good Man
is Hard to Find , O Connor wrote this short story about a very manipulative grandmother
and her dysfunctional family who went on a road trip from Atlanta on their way to
Florida when they ran into a man who escaped from prison and ended up murdering the
whole family. One southern gothic trait presented in the story was Social Structure. The
grandmother noticed a little... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Strangeworth s family were the backbone of the town itself, resulting in her imperious
behavior toward the other townspeople. The letters she wrote encompassed her ways the
person ,the letter was sent to, should better themselves. She felt like everyone owed her
their respect because of what her grandfather did for the town which caused them to treat
her higher than anyone else. She also had this habit of being nice, sweet, and respectable
in front of people and then writing letters about their imperfections so they can correct it .

I. Abstract
The aim of this paper is to test the random walk hypothesis by applying the runs test on
time series of several selected stocks. The random walk theory is the theory that stock
prices changes have the same distribution and are independent of each other, so the past
movement or trend of a stock price or market cannot be used to predict its future
movement. Shortly said it is the idea that stocks take a random and unpredictable path.

More commonly and in a standardized output, we would rather use the p value in order
to draw a conclusion about the hypothesis but as we don t have one, we are forced to
compare the absolute Z value to the quantile. In other words, an absolute value greater
than 1.96, called the critical value, indicates non randomness and disproves the random
walk theory. The mathematical form of this statement is:
Z ≥Z1 α2=0.975
As the reader has got now all the information available about theory and methodology, it s
time to move on to the concrete part. Indeed, next header explains the extraction of data.
IV. Data
The data of the historical prices of the chosen stocks will be taken from the official
source Yahoo! Finance. The R software uses this source by default and therefore the end
user can simply assess this data by installing the package « quantmod » and using the
library command.
In this paper three stocks have been chosen, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL), IBM

What Is My Ideal Country Essay
When I picture the ideal society, it is everything that my homeland, Sweden, is not.
Everything that I hate about Sweden, everything that makes me dislike this country,
does not exist there at all. In the land of my dreams, the weather is warm and the sun
is shining at all times. On the days where the sun shines too bright, you can go for a
swim in the turquoise ocean to cool off. That is mainly what I would like to do after
long days of work, just go to the ocean, lie on the beach with white, fine sand and
coconut trees surrounding the premises. There are also many activities that keeps the
visitors entertained, which easily happens when you go to the beach everyday. There
are bouncy castles in the ocean near the beach, you can go surfing, snorkelling to check
out the magnificent sea life and you can also rent a luxurious boat for as long as you want
for a vacation on the sea. That really makes it easy to keep life constantly interesting.
One activity that probably is my favorite one, is to discover all... Show more content on

This combined with the friendly people and the lovely nature makes this country a
popular tourist destination. The shopping is also a very much appreciated tourist
attraction. The shopping areas in the country can be compared to places like New York
and London. There is also no language barrier for english speakers here since the mother
tongue here is english.
