The teacher will draw a big face with big head, small eyes, big eras
and small nose, etc…

Ask the student what they have observe with the drawing.

The game earlier has a relation with our topic for today which is all
about “Adjectives”.

Presentation of Objectives:

At the end of the 50 - minutes discussion, at least 85% of the


students are able to:
 Define the meaning of Adjectives
 Identify various adjectives
 Use appropriate adjectives in a sentence

C. Presenting Examples/ Let the students play the game “DESCRIBE ME”
Instances of the new lesson
The teacher will show pictures students has to describe it according
on what they have observe or the characteristics of it and use them
in a sentence.

D. Discussing New Concept Let us first talk about Adjectives


and Practicing New Skills #1
Adjectives are the words we use to describes nouns or pronouns.

It adds life and color to your sentence.

It answers many of the following:


What color?
Example:
The rainbow is colorful.

What shape?
Example:
The Earth is round.

What size?
Example:
At Makati, you will find tall buildings.

How many?
Example:
How many kittens are there in a basket?

How something looks


Example:
I watch horror movie it was scary.

How something tastes


Example:
The lemon is sour.

How something smell


Example:
The rose smells fresh.
How it sounds
Example:
I hear the loud sound of thunder.

How something feels


Example:
I want to drink cold apple juice later.

How something behaves


Example:
Mikaela is nice.

How something moves


Example:
The turtle moves slowly.

has to complete sentence by choosing the correct answer.

F. Developing Mastery GROUP ACTIVITY:


Directions:
Divide the class into two and provide each group a manila paper and
pentel pen. The teacher will let them watch a short story and each
group has to write what adjectives being used to describe a noun in
the story. Take note that you have to put/write the adjectives together
with the noun. If noun/pronoun and adjectives are missing that will
not be accepted as correct.
