Pregnancy Complications: Diagnosis & Treatment

A 24-year-old pregnant woman, 7-8 weeks along, presents with symptoms including sleep disturbances, irritability, emotional lability, sweating, and weight loss, along with a palpable increase in her thyroid gland and slight finger tremors. A preliminary diagnosis of hyperthyroidism is suggested, with differential diagnoses including anxiety disorders and other thyroid conditions. A treatment plan should focus on managing thyroid levels while ensuring the safety of the pregnancy, along with preventive measures to monitor and maintain thyroid health.
