disseminating software engineering education since 2006. We
aim to impart quality education to prepare the students with
the latest emerging fields in the subject of software
engineering. For the purpose department has highly qualified

 Semester Regulations

• Class Attendance: Minimum 75% to sit in exam

• 1 Credit hour = 50 marks
• Assignment = 10%
• Quiz = 10%
• Mid-term Examination = 30%
• Terminal Examination = 50%

• Degree Requirements:
• A student shall be awarded the degree in
respective discipline provided that he/she has
completed the fundamental courses, faculty
courses, project/ fieldwork/ thesis/ internship/
practical training and comprehensive oral
examination within the prescribed time period
with at least 57.5% cumulative percentage.

 Semester Regulations

• PROMOTION REGULATIONS
• A student has to pass minimum of 50% of courses
opted for1st to 7th semesters each for promotion.
• The 50% of courses means the half of the number of
regular semester courses plus reenrolled courses if
any, of any semester. If percentage comes in fraction,
the fraction shall be rounded off to the nearest credit
scheme, as the case may be.

 Semester Regulations

• Re-examination/Repeating Failed Courses : A student

shall repeat the failed course(s) as soon as the course(s)
is/ are offered in the following semester e.g. if a student
fails in a paper in 1st semester he/ she should register
himself/ herself in that particular course(s) in 3rd
semester/ summer semester provided that his/ her total
number of credits in that semester should not exceed
the specified maximum number of courses. No special
arrangement for such failed courses shall be made.

University Need-Based Scholarships

50-scholarships are awarded from the academic year 2014 to

the impoverished and needy newly admitted students of
subsidized category in undergraduate programme. The
scholarship is awarded according to the principles and
procedures laid down by the HEC for Need Based Scholarship
programme. The component of the scholarship is fixed @ Rs.
9000/- per semester or as determined by the University from
time to time according to the availability of funds. This
scholarship is granted for one academic year.

The University shall waive-off tuition fee and grant

HEC-EHSAAS Scholarship Project

HEC-Ehsaas Scholarship Project is launched by the

Prime Ministers of Pakistan for the Students who are
admitted under Subsidized Category in BS degree
programs. The Scholarship was launched in October
2019 for the first time. 462-Students are being
awarded in 1st award of Ehsaas. The components of
this scholarship is 40000/- stipend per annum and
tuition fee waiver
