Job Description

General Position Summary:


The Business Analyst's role varies, but their key responsibilities include
identifying business areas that can be improved to increase efficiency and
reinforce business processes. As business analysts, they frequently collaborate
with others throughout the corporate hierarchy to explain their findings and
assist in implementing improvements.
As Salaam Group Banks we expand into new markets, the need to hire
competent individuals in their respective professions is more crucial than ever.
For this job vacancy, we are primarily searching for someone who meets the
job descriptions outlined below.

Business Analyst Job Description:


 Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering
areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
 Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing
optimization strategies.
 Staying up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to
automate and modernize systems.
 Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
 Documenting and communicating the results of the gathered efforts.
 Effectively communicating insights and plans to cross-functional team
members and management.
 Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders
and producing useful reports.
 Working closely with clients, technicians, and managerial staff.
 Analysing data and making recommendations based on that analysis,
such as identifying ways to improve profitability or efficiency by
adjusting pricing structures or product offerings.
 Communicating with clients and other stakeholders to understand their
needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.
 Providing guidance on the use of new technologies to improve business
operations.
 Preparing reports on findings and recommending solutions to
management.
 Creating and maintaining budgets and forecasting cash flow needs for
the organization.

 Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency through
process reengineering or technology implementation.
 Review financial statements to determine whether they are accurate
and comply with regulations.
 Conducting research to identify emerging trends in business practices
that may affect the industry or company’s market position.
 Recommending changes to existing business processes based on
research findings from internal or external sources.

Qualifications & Experiences:


 Having an MBA degree with a business analytics major is a bonus and
preferable to other options.
 Having a Master’s degree in Business administration(MBA) is preferable
among other qualifications, especially in finance and banking.
 Candidate must have or at least now pursuing professional qualifications
demonstrating their skills, such as IIBA Certification of Capability in
Business Analysis (CCBA) & PMI Professional in Business Analytics (PMI-
PBA).
 Minimum of 5 year’s experience as business analyst in banking and
related sector.

Business Analyst Skills:


1. Communication skills: Communication skills are essential for a business
analyst and so the candidate must be good in communicating and
working with a variety of people such as engaging with clients to listen
to and determine their stratification about the products and service
which the bank does provide.
2. Business knowledge: A business analyst needs to have a thorough
understanding of the business model of Islamic Banking sector. The
candidate need to be aware the modus operandi of banking industry ’s
and so have to demonstrate on how he can help Salam Group Banks
achieve its goals.
3. Attention to detail: mistakes in this field can lead to costly delays, so it's
imperative that banking business analysts evaluate reports and
applications with a careful eye.
4. Financial management skills: from generating financial statements to
conducting tax return reviews, banking business analysts must be
knowledgeable about various accounting and financial concepts and
principles.
5. Teamwork: banking business analysts must be able to collaborate with
loan officers, underwriters, banking managers, accountants, and other
professionals.

6. Organization skills: keeping orderly records concerning client
information and compliance documentation is crucial for this profession.
7. Problem-solving skills: banking business analysts must devise creative
solutions for clients with financial issues affecting their loan or credit
status.
