Course Description The course equips the students with knowledge and skills needed to be able to determine limits of functions, to differentiate, and to integrate algebraic, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions in one variable. It also includes exposure
to more challenging problems covering continuity and areas of regions.

Course Outcomes ILO-1 Familiarize the Mission, Vision, and Goals of Lyceum of Cebu.
ILO-2 Compute and plot the distance between two points.
ILO-3 Identify whether two lines are parallel or perpendicular through their slopes; determine the equation of conic sections satisfying given conditions.
ILO-4 State the definitions; perform the fundamental operations, including composition of functions.
ILO-5 Identify and graph absolute value functions; rational functions; algebraic functions; greatest integer functions with or without the use of technology.
ILO-6 Evaluate limits of functions using theorems on limits; and compute limits of indeterminate form using L'Hopital's Rule.
ILO-7 Determine whether a function is continuous or not; classify the type of discontinuity of functions.
ILO-8 Differentiate functions by using the rules for differentiation, i.e., the power product, quotient, and chain rules.
