Since UMMC has been in service from 1968, there were some changes made
in terms of the numbers and types of clinics being built to fulfill the needs of new
specialist and subspecialist discipline. The existing facilities cannot contain and
kindly entertain the increase in numbers of patients, outpatients and additional
new services for the patients. Thus, it affects the clinic‟s location and some of
the primary care clinics are situated in scattered areas and far away from the
other services. This influences the efficiency; quality of services, patient‟s
comforts and is less patient-friendly.
