Manual for fully automatic pipe bender

(single layer die)


I. operation instructions of the machine
1. Start screen (1-1)
Turn on main power switch (F1)
Press the power switch button (SB2) to display if the main screen (1-1)

2. Function of the button

Manual mode: enter the screen of manual operation and manually operate
all parts of the machine.

Automatic mode: enter the automatic working screen and process the
workpiece according to the pre-input program.

Program editing: enter the program input screen, input pre-


processing data.

System setting: enter the system setting screen and set the system
working parameters.
IO detection: detection system port screen, detection system port execution.
Ⅱ、Manual work screen
(2-1)
1. In the main screen (1-1), press "manual mode" to enter the following screen.

3. Function of the button
Press the button in the screen (2-1) to select different functions, and cooperate with the manual button on
the operation panel for manual operation.
Guide clamp button
Press this button with your finger, the color will be reversed.

Press and hold the manual positive key on the panel to make the guide die forward;

Press and hold the manual negative key on the panel to make the guide die backward;

Clamping die clamping button


Press this button with your finger, the color will be reversed.
Press and hold the manual positive key on the panel to make the clamping die forward;

Press and hold the manual negative key on the panel to make the clamping die backward;

Bend button
Press this button with your finger, the color will be reversed.

Press the manual positive key on the panel to make the elbow arm forward and stop
forward when it reaches the Angle set by the c-axis;

Press and hold the manual negative key on the panel to make the elbow arm move
backward and stop moving backward when it reaches the origin of c-axis.

Press the positioning key on the panel to make the elbow arm move forward automatically
and stop moving forward when it reaches the Angle set by the c-axis.
Press the positioning key halfway, then the elbow arm stops forward;

Feed button
Press this button with your finger, the color will be reversed.

Press and hold the manual positive key on the panel to move the feed seat forward;

Press and hold the manual negative key on the panel to move the feeding seat backward;

If you press the positioning key on the panel, the feeding seat will automatically move to
the position of the coordinate value set by the Y-axis;

Press the positioning key halfway, then the feeding seat stops moving;

Go tube button
Press this button with your finger, the color will be reversed.
Press and hold the manual positive key on the panel and rotate the material holder
clockwise;

Press and hold the manual negative key on the panel to rotate the material holder
counterclockwise;

If you press the positioning key on the panel, the material clip will automatically rotate to
the position of the coordinate value set by axis B;

Press the positioning key halfway, the material clip will stop rotation;

Tube clamp button


Press this button with your finger, the color will be reversed.

Press the manual positive key on the panel to tighten the material clamp;

Press the manual negative key on the panel, the material clip is released;

Mandrel button
Press this button with your finger, the color will be reversed;

Press and hold the manual positive key on the panel, and the mandrel moves forward;

Press the manual negative key on the panel and the mandrel moves backward;

Tube support button


Press this button with your finger, the color will be reversed.

Press the manual positive key on the panel to rise;

Press the manual negative key on the panel to descend;

Back to main screen

Turn on manual operation parameters

Present location

Set manual
operation speed

Set the location coordinates


for the manual operation
Display the Y-axis coordinate data, set the manual working
speed, and position the coordinate of Y-axis manually.

Display the coordinate data of axis B, set the manual


working speed, and position the coordinate of axis B manually.

Display the coordinate data of c-axis, set the manual


working speed, and position the coordinate of c-axis manually.

Ⅲ、 Mode setting screen (3-1, 3-2)

Press the function key on the selection screen to specify whether the selected function is
valid or invalid;

Press the button to return to the manual operation screen (2-1);;

2. Function description

"Single step" and "continuous execution"


Select the completion of single step or continuous execution of each action of YBC
during automatic operation;
"Round tube" and "square tube"

"Tail bend main clamp loosen" and "tail bend main


clamp tighten"
After the elbow action is completed, the clamping die is clamped or opened.
"Simultaneous clamping" and "asynchronous
clamping"
Set whether the clamping die clamp and guide die clamp are clamped at the same time
under the automatic mode. This function will have different clamping effects due to
different oil pressure.

"No auxiliary push" and "auxiliary push"


Whether there is auxiliary drive in automatic mode;

"Mandrel" and "mandrel"
Set whether there is mandrel action in automatic mode;

"Slow core retreat" and "no slow core retreat"


Set whether there is slow core retreat action when bending under automatic mode;

Ⅳ、 Machine coordinate parameter and manual operation parameter setting


1. Select the "manual operation parameters" button in the "manual operation" screen to
enter the (4-1) screen;

2. Function description
Bracket open position: the support of the tube is lowered or opened when the car moves to where.
Slow core withdrawal Angle: after bending the elbow to the Angle, it starts to perform slow core
withdrawal action.
Maximum bend Angle: limit the maximum bend Angle of bend arm.
Manual front limit position: limit the car forward front limit position.
Wheel die radius: fill in the actual radius of wheel die.
Height of wheel die center: fill in the actual height of wheel die.
Length of guide mold: fill in the actual length of guide mold.

Ⅴ、 System program selection screen (5-1)


1. Open program protection lock (SB14) (this function is invalid on the machine);

2. Select the "program input" button in the main screen (1-1) to enter the screen (5-
1);

3. Picture function description

Program list box


When a path is opened, all available programs in the current path are displayed in the
program list. You can directly click the program sequence number to enter the program
editing screen.

"Back to home screen"


Return to the main screen

"editing program"
Select the program sequence number button, and the program editing screen will be opened the
same as the screen (6-1), but the value in it is the value of the selected program for the user to
modify

"duplicating program"
Select a program in the program selection box and press the button to open
the program copy window.

2. “machinery specification”
The top of the screen shows all the path information of the program for reference;

“Before the limit position”


The front limit position is the distance from the mold center to the front end of the feeding seat.

“Take the position”

At the beginning of automatic work, the feeding seat is at the position when waiting for the pipe
fitting to be put in.
“Corner compensation”
This value is the compensation and correction value of bend Angle (example: set bend Angle
as 90 °, Offset as 0 and compensation as 5.0, then the actual value is 90+5 ° (mainly to
correct the resilience of pipe fitting, if it is hydraulic bend, this value is related to the pressure
of hydraulic system, please set the value according to the actual situation);
If set to -5.0, the actual Angle is: 90-5=85 °.
“Auxiliary push closing Angle”
In order to avoid the auxiliary push at the end of the bend when the auxiliary push can not stop
and rush forward, set an Angle to make the auxiliary push close ahead of time.
“Slow core retreat Angle”
Set an Angle, when the elbow Angle is less than this Angle, start slow core retreat;

In order to avoid the slow starting Angle of the heart retreat is too slow and the pipe
fitting forming is not good, generally 5-10 degrees before the end;
“Feed seat back distance”
This is the distance after the feeding seat enters the interference point or at the last turn,
when the clamping die is clamped properly, the feeding seat will move back again.
“Slowly bend Angle”
Set an Angle, when the bend Angle is less than the "slow bend Angle", start the slow bend
action to improve the precision of the bend.

“Feeding mode”
0――Sent straight pattern
1――Clip put pattern
In the clamping mode, the feeding seat takes the feeding position as the anchor point for
clamping and feeding.
“Clamp feeding end compensation”
Set a length. When the clamping feeding mode is used, the system will reduce the length
of the feeding at the last feeding to ensure that the clamping head can accurately grip the
pipe fitting at the last turn.

“R0 radius”
Set the radius of each layer of the die(mm)

“push bending bending die choosing”
0:No push bending function,each layer of the die works in the normal bend mode
1:When choosing R1 bending die as push bending die,then in the YBC program list,
when the die selects 1, the system will switch to the R1 bending die,and execute the mode
of push bending ,usually just equip 2 layers of dies,choosing 1.
2:When choosing R2 bending die as push bending die,then in the YBC program list,when the
die selects 2,the system will switch to R2 bending die,and execute the mode of push
bending,usually just equip 2 layers of dies,choosing 2.
“Pressure die length”
The actual length of the pressure die, please set the safety distance to be: the actual length
of the pressure die+10mm
“B axis starting angle”
For the non-circular pipe bending process, the B axis will first go to the origin (ie, the
origin is reset to 0 angle), then the B axis will turn this starting angle to correctly clamp
the shape of the pipe.
“Collet clamp deepth”
From the front end of the collet clamp to the depth at which the fitting is inserted into the bottom;

This value must be set if the system origin is set to the distance from the front end of
the collet clamp to the center of the bending die;
If the system origin is set to the distance from the inside of the collet clamp to the center of
the bending die, this value can be set to zero. If it is not zero, this value will also be
calculated when calculating the first feed;
These values are invalid when it is clamping feed.

4. “Pipe parameter”

“Pipe OD”
Input the actual OD of the pipe,for memory recognition only;
“Pipe length”
Input the length of the pipe,the more important parameters are calculated based on this value
when calculating the first feeding position;
This parameter is a mandatory input value and is input according to the actual pipe
length.;
“Pipe material”
Input the material of pipe,just for reference;
“Pipe thickness”
Input the pipe thickness,just for reference

5. “YBC parameters”

“Feeding length” and “Feeding speed”


Feeding length: Set the length of the straight section in the pipe. If it is Step0, set the
amount of the pipe.;
Feeding speed:From0――9 grade speed,when the pipe is too long or the pipe material
is too thin, it is necessary to reduce the feeding speed, otherwise the feeding accuracy
will be lost;

Offset:Feed length correction value, if the feed length is set to 200 and Offset is set to -5,
the actual feed length is: 200-5=195.

“rotary angle”and “rotary speed”


Rotary angle: Facing the machine head, the clockwise direction is positive and the
counterclockwise direction is negative;
Rotary:From0――9 grade speed,when the pipe is too long or the pipe is too thin, the
rotary speed should be reduced, otherwise the rotary accuracy will be lost;
Offset:If the pipe angle is 90 degrees and the Offset is 0.5 degrees, the actual pipe angle
is 90+0.5=90.5

“bending angle”and “bending speed”
Set pipe bending angle
Bending speed:From 0—9 grade speed,pls choose appropriate speed,usually about
3,too fast will affect the angle of bending pipe

Back bending speed: From 0—9 grade speed,pls choose appropriate speed,usually about 7

Offset:Bending angle correction,if the bend angle is 90 degrees and the Offset is 3 degrees,
the actual bend angle is: 90+3=93.
When “Bend Angle Compensation” is set in the “Mold parameter” screen, the actual bend
angle = (bend angle + Offset) + bend compensation angle.

“Download”
Download the machining data to the PLC.

“Extension”
Go to the Processing Parameter Settings page.

“Mirror”
Convert YBC data into left and right symmetrical data

“Zero”
Change the parameter of the program to 0.

“Delete a line”
When entering YBC data, press this button to delete the line where YBC is currently located.
When entering XYZ data, press this button to delete the line where XYZ is currently located.

“Add a line”
When entering YBC data, press this button to add a blank line in the current line.
When entering XYZ data, press this button to add a blank line in the current line.

6. XYZ Coordinate

“X coordinate value”
Enter the value of the X coordinate

“Y coordinate value”
Enter the value of the Y coordinate

“Z coordinate value”
Enter the value of the Z coordinate

“Mold selection”

0:Upper mold
1:Lower mold

“Coordinate points”
Set the number of XYZ coordinates to be converted
can be set to be less than the actual point, but cannot be greater than the actual point
number, the minimum number of points is 3

“R1 radius”
Set the radius of the upper mold

“R2 radius”
Set the radius of the lower mold

“Convert YBC”

VI、Time set
1. Entering the delay time setting screen (11-1) from
screen 9-1;

“Main clamp”
Set the time of the clamping action of the main clamp;
“Pressure die”
Set the time of clamping action of the pressure die ;
“Mandrel entry”
Set the delay time after the mold changing operation;
“Bending hold”
Set the delay time after the bend action;
“Collet clamp”
Set the delay time of the tube collet clamp action
“Guid clip half open”
Set the half opening time of the guide die in the automatic machining process to
improve the working efficiency;
“Support”
Set the delay time of the bracket action
“Blank and bending delay”
Set the delay time after changing the die, so that the pipe fittings can enter the die correctly
after changing the mould.;

VII、 Set mechanical parameters
1. Enter the mechanical parameter screen (13-1) from screen 9-1;

Set the origin position of the feed axis, press the “Set” button, the current position of
the feed axis is the origin position.
At this point, you must also set the following origin distance, otherwise the feed axis
will not operate correctly.

Set the origin position of the rotating pipe shaft

Set the origin position of the elbow axis. Before setting the origin of the elbow axis, you
need to return the elbow arm to the original position.

Set the ratio of the boosting speed given by the feed servo system during the bending
action, and modify this parameter according to different pipe fittings.

VIII、 IO test

The system displays the input status, as well as the output status
If the signal port is 1, the line status is reversed.
The user can also detect the signal state of the system according to the signal table.
