Dear Melody,

How are you? I visited Uncle Dave, who lives in Sydney, this Christmas
holiday. He is a tour guide. On the first day, I went sightseeing around
the city with other tourists. I took some selfies in front of the Sydney 5
Opera House. It is a place where a lot of well-known singers perform.
It was a pity that the show tickets were too expensive for me! On the
second day, we flew in a hot-air balloon. I felt a bit nervous as we flew
high into the sky, but then I was amazed at the stunning views of the
countryside. The balloon stopped mid-air to let the tourists take 10
pictures before moving on. I took a lot of pictures of the beautiful
mountains, flower fields and rivers.

On the third day, Uncle Dave took me to a national park. There was an
area where we could get close to different animals. I held a koala in
my arms. It was so lovely! I did not hold a snake, but I fed a mother 15
kangaroo. When I was feeding it, I saw a shy baby kangaroo which was
hiding in its mother’s pocket! On the last day, we visited the Australian
History Museum. When Uncle Dave and I were looking at the displays,
he saw Mr Smith, who was his History teacher in secondary school. He

 told me a lot of stories about Australia in the past. The trip was short 20

but wonderful. How did you spend your holiday? Please tell me about it.

Activity1: Go swimming
In my free time, I like swimming. In summer, I usually go swimming in Deep Water Bay on Hong Kong
Island. Swimming makes me stay healthy and playing with water is fun. Every Saturday afternoon, I enjoy
swimming with mum, dad and my little sister.
Last summer, we could not go to neither the swimming pool nor the beaches in Sai Kung because of
COVID-19. We were very disappointed.

Activity 2: Go hiking
I enjoy hiking in my free time. I usually go hiking with my mum and dad. Hiking is amazing and it makes
you healthy and you always feel relaxed. I always go to Pat Sin Leng Country Park because it is near my
house. I enjoy watching birds, butterflies and trees when I walk around the bushes. I am so sad that people
do not behave themselves because they often leave their face masks in the country parks.

Day 1 - 13th February, 2021
Today was my first day in Japan. The weather was sunny but cold. I went to Tokyo Tower straight
away. It is a place where you can see all of Tokyo in one spot. The scenery was beautiful. At the end of the
day, I went on top of the Tower again to see the night view too.
