List of the Games/Sports in Intra Faculty Sport, 2024.

1. Badminton
2. Basketball
3. Chess
4. Cricket
5. Football
6. Kabadi
7. Kho-Kho
8. Table Tennis
9. Track and Field
10. Tug of war
11. Volleyball

List of Events under Track and Field Category:

Track Events - 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 5000m, 4x100m relay, 4x400m relay

Field events - High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put, Discus Throw, Javelin Throw

Common Guidelines

1. A team list must be forwarded and verified by the respective HoD.


2. A players list should be submitted to the Secretary, Athletic Association, I.Sc., BHU on
or before the last date of entry.
3. If a team does not follow the rules and regulation of the game then it can be disqualified
at any stage by the organizing committee.
4. In case of any dispute, the organizing committee decision will be the last.

Event Name - Badminton

Rules and Regulations


1. To participate in this event a department can send maximum one team for each category as given
below:
a. Men’s Team
b. Women’s Team
c. Mixed Team
2. Matches will be scheduled as follows
a. Men’s Team 1 Single and 2 Doubles
b. Women’s Team 1 Single and 2 Doubles
c. Mixed Team 3 Doubles
3. In a Men’s/Women’s Team, minimum 05 and maximum 06 players can be included in the players
list.
4. In a Mixed Team, minimum 06 players (03 Boys, 03 Girls) and maximum 08 players (04 Boys,
04 Girls) can be included in the players list.
5. A student can participate only in one team, either Men's/women's team or mixed team.
6. In a match, out of 03 games, a player can participate in 01 game only.

Event Name –Table Tennis

Rules and Regulations


1. To participate in this event a department can send maximum one team for each category as given
below:
a. Men’s Team
b. Women’s Team
c. Mixed Team
2. Matches will be scheduled as follows
a. Men’s Team 2 Singles and 1 Doubles
b. Women’s Team 2 Singles and 1 Doubles
c. Mixed Team 3 Doubles
3. In a Men’s/Women’s Team, minimum 04 and maximum 05 players can be included in the players
list.
4. In a Mixed Team, minimum 06 players (03 Man, 03 Woman) and maximum 04 players (04 Men,
04 Women) can be included in the players list.
5. A student may participate in both the teams, Men's/women's team and mixed team.
6. In a match, out of 03 games, a player can participate in 01 game only.

Event Name – Chess

Rules and Regulations


1. To participate in this event a department can send maximum one team for each category as given
below:
a. Men’s Team
b. Women’s Team
2. Matches will be scheduled as follows
a. Men’s Team 04 boards
b. Women’s Team 04 boards
3. In a Men’s/Women’s Team, minimum 04 and maximum 05 players can be included in the players
list.

Event Name – Cricket

Rules and Regulations


1. To participate in this event a department can send maximum one team for each category as given
below:
a. Men’s Team
b. Women’s Team
2. In a Men’s/Women’s Team, minimum 11 and maximum 15 players can be included in the players
list.
3. Men’s Team Cricket matches will be played with the Dues(Leather) Ball.
4. Women’s Team Cricket matches will be played with the Tennis Ball.

Event Name – Basketball

1. To participate in this event a department can send maximum one team for each category as given
below:
a. Men’s Team
b. Women’s Team
2. In a Men’s/Women’s Team, minimum 05 and maximum 08 players can be included in the players
list.

Rules and Regulations


1. To participate in this event a department can send maximum one team for each category as given
below:
a. Men’s Team
b. Women’s Team (7 a-side)
2. In a Men’s/Women’s Team, minimum 11 and maximum 14 players can be included in the players
list.
3. In a Women’s Team, minimum 07 and maximum 10 players can be included in the players list.

Event Name – Kabaddi

1. To participate in this event a department can send maximum one team for each category as given
below:
a. Men’s Team
b. Women’s Team
2. In a Men’s/Women’s Team, minimum 07 and maximum 10 players can be included in the players
list.

Event Name – Volleyball/Throwball

Rules and Regulations


1. To participate in this event a department can send maximum one team for each category as given
below:
a. Men’s Volleyball Team
b. Women’s Throwball Team
2. In a Men’s Volleyball Team, minimum 06 and maximum 08 players can be included in the players
list.
3. In a Women’s Throwball Team, minimum 07 and maximum 10 players can be included in the
players list.

Event Name – Tug of War

2. In a Men’s/Women’s Team, minimum 10 and maximum 12 players can be included in the players
list.

Event Name – Kho-Kho

1. To participate in this event a department can send maximum one team for each category as given
below:
a. Men’s Team
b. Women’s Team
2. In a Men’s/Women’s Team, minimum 09 and maximum 12 players can be included in the players
list.

Track and Field Events

Track Events
1. To participate in Track Event: 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 5000m a department can send
maximum 03 players for each category as given below:
a. Men’s Track Events
b. Women’s Track Events
2. A player can participate at most three Track Events in his/her category.
3. To participate in Track Team Event: 4x100m relay, 4x400m relay a department can send
maximum 01 team for each category as given below:
a. Men’s Team
b. Women’s Team
c. Mixed Team
4. In a Track Team Event a player can participate in either Men’s/Women’s Team or in Mixed Team.

Field Events (Jump & Throws)

1. To participate in Field Event: High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put, Discus Throw, and
Javelin Throw a department can send maximum 03 players for each category as given below:
a. Men’s Field Events
b. Women’s Field Events
