The Annual Administration Report on the working of HP Staff Selection
Commission, Hamirpur, District Hamirpur w.e.f. Financial Year 1998-
99 to Financial Year 2019-20.
Commission:

As per amendment notified vide HP Govt. Notification No.

Per(AP.B)(B)(1)-1/98-Pt,dated 28.09.2005, the Commission will consist of a
Chairman and four Members. The Commission now consists of the following:-

OFFICE:
Dr. Jitender Kanwar (HPAS) has been working as Secretary of the
Commission since January, 2017. In addition to it, the following posts of

OFFICE BUILDING:

The Commission is functioning in its own building about 3.0 km. away
from Hamirpur district Headquarters.
FINANCIAL POSITION:

For the year 2019-20, the Government allotted budget amounting to

Rs.8,73,87000 /- to the Commission out of which Rs. 7,95,93,031 /- has been
spent. During the financial year 2019-20, a sum of Rs. 3,24,53,580/- received
on account of examination fee and miscellaneous receipts has been credited to
the receipt head of account.
RESIDENTIAL ACCOMMODATION:

0-73-48 hectare land has been transferred for the construction of

residential accommodation for the officers/officials of this Commission and the
HPPWD department has been requested to provide the estimates for the
construction of residential accommodations.
WORK DONE:

The Commission has made recommendations to the Requisitioning

Authorities as per the details shown in Annexure-II.

COURT CASES:

2723 cases have been instituted by the candidates/ applicants in various

courts w.e.f. 01.01.1998 to 31.12.2020 out of which 2054 cases have been
decided and 669 cases are pending. In addition to the above court cases, some
departmental employees of this Commission have filed 51 court cases in the
Hon’ble Court in connection with their service matters.
OFFICE AUTOMATION:

The recruitment process of the Commission is time consuming involving

compilation of enormous amount of data which are both secret and of sensitive
nature and computer networking system has been adopted to complete the work
in time bound manner.

RIGHT TO INFORMATION ACT, 2005:-

The Right to Information Act, 2005, received the assent of the President of
India on 15th June, 2005 and came into force on 12th Oct, 2005 with full
provisions. The State of HP thereafter, made the rules to carry out the purpose
of the Act vide notification NO. PER(AR)F(7)-2/98-Vol-I dated 21st June,
2006 Consequent upon the implementation in the State, the following officers
of HP Staff Selection Commission, Hamirpur have been designated as under:-
1. Sh. Rajiv Thakur, Dy. Secretary Appellate Authority
2. Sh. Sanjeev Kumar, Section Officer, Public Information Officer
692 applications have been received under RTI Act during the year 2019-
20, out of which 676 applications have been disposed-of. In addition to above,
42 appeals were received by Appellate Authority which were disposed of.
Besides this, 06 appeals were filed before the SIC and all of them have been
decided.
