Application Form
Please read the following instructions carefully before filling up the MCM application form: -

1. A UG student of any category (GEN/OBC/SC/ST/PH) in the 4-year/5-year/2-year M.Sc.


program can receive the MCM scholarship subject to the following conditions:
a) The student should have a CPI of 6.5 or above to receive full MCM scholarship
(freeship + pocket allowance). If the CPI of a student falls below 6.5 but remains
above 6.0, then the pocket allowance will not be paid.
b) The Total Family Annual Income (TFAI) of the student from all sources should be less
than 6.0 lacs.
c) The student must not have ‘F’ grade(s) in one or more courses in the last two regular
semesters.
d) The student must not be getting any other scholarship either from IIT Kanpur or from
any other external sources.

2. In the application form, all the fields must be filled (write N/A if a certain field is not
applicable). Incomplete form in any circumstances will not be considered for scholarship.
3. Up to 25% of the total number of students in a batch may be awarded the MCM
scholarship. From the total number of MCM Scholarships available in each batch, 20%
shall be reserved for students belonging to the SC/ST category. The SC/ST students are
not to be compared with the GN/OBC students.
4. The candidate will have to submit one of the following as the proof of income along with
the application form:
a. ITR (detailed ITR copy)
b. Form-16
c. Certificate issued from the authorized central/state government authority.
5. Notarized documents for income proof will not be acceptable.
6. The candidates are also required to submit their latest transcripts/grade report card. Only
first year students are required to submit a photocopy of their JEE-AIR.
7. Any student who has been punished in any case or any disciplinary action has been
instituted against him by Senate / SSAC of any level including level Zero will not be
eligible to receive any scholarship.
8. The student will have to attach the fee receipt compulsorily for 2023-24 (Odd & Even
Sem).
9. The candidates are required to submit the duly filled MCM application form in the SSPC
office on or before 25th January 2024 till 5:00 pm positively.

announcement.

b) Any student who has not been shortlisted in the 1st list and who have submitted their
detailed copy of the Income Tax Return after the publication of the 1st list of
shortlisted students, they will have to apply in this 2nd announcement afresh.

c) The application applied in this 2nd announcement will only be considered for the
shortlistment in this round, if seats for scholarship are available in the course.
