Recruitment of Technical Project Staff

Applications are invited from the Indian nationals for the following positions to work on a Government
of India funded Technology Development Project titled” Design and development of a fully automated pressure
and vacuum controlled Induction Casting Machine” (Sanction No. DST/TDT/TDP-16/2022, dated 11-04-2023)
under Department of Science and Technology (DST) for three years. The recruitment terms and conditions shall
be as per DST Norms: (OM No. SR/S9/Z-08/2018 dated 30.01.2019 and SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated 10.07.2020).

Position-1:
(1) Name of the Position: Project Associate-1
(2) Number of Positions: 01

(5) Essential Educational Qualifications: BE/B Tech in Electrical/Electronics/Electronics &
Telecom/Instrumentation with minimum Valid GATE Exam Score OR M E / M Tech Appearing/Completed
in Electrical/Electronics/Electronics & Telecom/Instrumentation from reputed university with Valid GATE
Score
(5) Emoluments: Rs. 31000/- +HRA Rs. 4000 per month for a Candidate having Valid GATE Score
OR Emoluments: Rs. 25000/- +HRA Rs. 3250 per month for a Candidate without GATE Score
(6) Upper Age Limit: 35 Years

(1) Name of the Position: Technical Assistant
(2) Number of Positions: 01

(4) Duration of the Position: Two Years, Extended for One more year
(5) Emoluments: Rs. 20,000/- per month
(6) Essential Educational Qualifications: Diploma in Electrical/Industrial
Electronics/Mechanical/Instrumentation/Electronics

Desirable Skills Specific to the Project:

The execute the current DST sponsored project we need certain skill-sets to be
possessed by the Candidate. Here is the listing our specific requirements:

Position-1

(1) The knowledge of electronic/electrical integrated circuits OR should be able to infer


the relevant design information from the datasheets
(2) The exposure to drawing circuit schematics and PCB design on any of the platforms
like Eagle/KiCad/Cadence-OrCad/Altium etc.
(3) The system level design of Mixed Mode circuits including Micro-
controllera/DSP/FPGA etc and Embedded Controllers
(4) The knowledge of Embedded Coding for firmware developments in C/C++/Python, etc.
(5) The experience of independently working on electronic products and instruments
(6) The knowledge of Quality Checking, testing and debugging the electronic hardware
(7) The Knowledge of Technical Documentation for Technology Transfer
(8) The experience of drafting reports and making presentations

Position-2

(1) The experience of assembly, Soldering amd testing of Electronics Circuit board as per
the test procedure
(2) The knowledge and experience of drafting electrical wiring and mechanical assembly
on AutoCAD or any other CAD software
(3) The experience of Panel wiring and mechanical fittings
(4) The experience on handling pressure valves and Vacuum control systems
(5) The experience on handling electrical switchgear
(6) The Experience of turning, fitting, welding and other machines used in the workshop
(7) Some exposure to 3D-Printing/scanning, laser cutting machines and tools
(8) Some exposure to handling of SMT Machine, Reflow Ovens, Wave soldering machines,
pick-n-place machines, Automated Optical Inspection Machines, etc
(9) Some exposure to high power Furnaces and Heaters
