Q1. Short questions. (4 × 5 = 20)

i. Check whether [ 10 −01] is orthogonal or not.


ii. Express (-9, -7, -15) as a linear combination of u=(2 , 1 , 4), v=(1 ,−1 , 3), w=(3 , 2 ,5).

iii. If u=(2 , −2 , 3), v =(1 , −1 , 2), w=(3 , 6 , − 4) then evaluate ‖3 u −5 v+ w‖.

iv. Use Wronskian to show that f 1=1 , f 2=e x , f 3 =e 2 x are linearly independent vectors.
