QUANTITATIVE RESEARCH METHOLOGY

It is a research that mainly focuses on quantifying the collection and analysis of data, i.e numerical
data. Surveys and questionnaires is one of the tools of quantitative research as it collects statistic’s
data.

Example: A survey conducted to understand the turnaround time of cases in the magistrate court and
how much time it takes from the time the case is filed until judgment is passed.

QUALITATIVE RESEARCH METHOLOGY

It is a document based research which is help generate hypotheses and further investigation by
using sources which includes textbook’s, case laws, legislation etc.

Example: When a lawyer do research using case law, legation in a certain case to draft summons.
