Connection Types:

HDMI, VGA, DisplayPort, DVI, PS/2, USB 2 Type A, USB 2 Type B, Lightening, FireWire,
Parallel Port, Serial Port, Ethernet, Audio Port, SATA, PATA, eSATA.

Connection Type: HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface).

Given below are some key points of HDMI connection:

 Used to connect Display devices such as Monitor and TV.
 Supports upto 4k resolution.
 Highly used among modern displays.
 It also transfers audio along with the video through same single cable.

HDMI Cable HDMI Port

Connection Type: VGA (Video Graphics Array)

Given below are some key points of VGA connection:

 Used to connect Display devices such as monitors, projector etc.
 Supports upto 640*480 pixels making it less compatible for modern days displays.
 VGA for computers to monitors is outdated, replaced by mostly HDMI and others
like thunderbolt, USB type-c etc.
 It Does not transfer audio.

VGA cable VGA port

Connection Type: Displayport

Given below are some key points of Displayport connection:

.
 Used to connect Display devices such as monitors, projector etc.
 Display port can transfer both audio and vidio through same cable.
 Supports upto 4k resolution.
 Can be Used among modern displays.

Display cable

Connection Type: DVI (Digital Visual Interface)

Given below are some key points of DVI connection:

 used to connect devices to display digital video.
 DVI supports a variety of video resolutions, including standard definition (SD), high
definition (HD), and various computer resolutions.
 versatile and compatible with a broader range of displays.
 Does not transfer audio.

DVI DVI port

Connection Type: PS/2

Given below are some key points of PS/2 connection:

 It is used to connect Input devices. Keyboard and Mouse are the devices that
mostly used PS/2 port
 PS/2 has become less common among modern computers.

PS/2 Cable PS/2 Port

Connection Type: USB (Universal Serial Bus) 2 TYPE A

Given below are some key points of USB 2 type A connection:

 USB 2.0 Type A is commonly used for connecting various peripherals, such as
printers, external hard drives, and other devices, to a computer.
 USB 2 Type A transfer data upto speed of 480 mb/s.
 USB a ports are found on almost every modern computer like devices.

USB 2 TYPE A cable

Connection Type: USB (Universal Serial Bus) 2 TYPE B

Given below are some key points of USB 2 type B connection:

 USB 2.0 Type A is commonly used for connecting various peripherals, such as
printers, external hard drives, and other devices, to a computer.
 Mostly used to connect devices like printers and scanners.
 USB 2 type B square-shaped Type-B connector, different from the more common
Type-A ie rectangular-shaped connector.
 supports data transfer upto 480 mbps.

Connection Type: Lightening.

Given below are some key points of lightening connection:

 Lightining connector is used in Apple devices, it is used for iphone, ipads, ipods,
and some other Apple devices.
 Supports both data transfer and power delivery for charging.
 Many Lightning cables come with an authentication chip, providing an additional
security to in data transfer.

Connection Type: FireWire.

Given below are some key points of FireWire connection:

 It is used for transfering Data as well as power to some devices.
 FireWire can support speed upto 800 Mbps
 FireWire used to be popular, but it's mostly replaced by USB and Thunderbolt as
these newer interfaces are faster and more widely supported.

FireWire Cable. FireWire port

Connection Type: Parallel port.

Given below are some key points of ParallelPort connection:

 Parallel ports were mainly used to link computers with printers, scanners, and
various other devices.
 The connector for parallel ports usually had 25 pins and was a big, rectangular port
on the back of the computer.
 Parallel ports were okay for printers and certain devices, but they were slower and
less versatile compared to newer interfaces.

Connection Type: Serial port.

Given below are some key points of SerialPort connection:

 Serial ports were used for connecting a variety of peripherals, such as mice,
keyboards, modems, and early printers.
 Sends data one bit at a time, using a single wire or pair of wires, unlike parallel ports
which transmit multiple bits simultaneously.
 Serial ports aren't very common in today's computers, but they still have uses in
certain industries, sciences, and networks.

Serial Cable Serial Port

Connection Type: Ethernet port.

Given below are some key points of Ethernet connection:

 Ethernet ports help devices connect with each other using wires for sharing
information in local networks.
 The connector for Ethernet ports is typically an RJ45 connector, which resembles a
larger version of a telephone jack.
 Ethernet ports can support different data transfer speeds, such as 10/100/1000 Mbps
(megabits per second) or even higher for Gigabit Ethernet and beyond.

Connection Type: Audio port.

Given below are some key points of Audio connection:

 An audio connection is used to connect audio devices like headphones,
microphones, or speakers to transfer audio signals.
 Allows you to record sound using connected microphones or other input devices.
 It's used in different situations, from enjoying music on phones to recording audio
professionally.

Connection Type: SATA (Serial Advanced Technology Attachment)

Given below are some key points of SATA connection:

 SATA is used to connect hard drives and SSDs to a computer for storing data.
 SATA connectors not only transfer data but also supply power to connected storage
devices.
 Modern motherboards and storage devices commonly have SATA connectors,
ensuring they work together easily and are compatible.

Connection Type: PATA (Parallel Advanced Technology Attachment)

Given below are some key points of PATA connection:

 PATA is an older way of linking storage devices, such as hard drives and optical
drives, to a computer's motherboard.
 PATA uses a parallel data transfer method, sending multiple bits simultaneously.
 PATA connectors are wider and typically use flat ribbon cables compared to the
smaller and more streamlined connectors used in SATA.
