STUDENT INTERNSHIP PROGRAM AGREEMENT

This formalizes the AGREEMENT between ABS-CBN Foundation, Inc. (AFI) represented herein by Mr/Ms
__________________________________________,___________________________________ ,

A Student-Trainee from ________________________________, ________________________________

________________________________________, to undertake the AFI Student Internship Program (SIP),
under the following terms and conditions:

1. The internship period will start on __________________________, with a required number of


_________ training hours. The official working hours will be from _______ to _______. Any deviation
thereof must be approved by the Student-Trainee’s Immediate Supervisor copy furnished SIP
Coordinator.

2. The Unit/Program/Project herein represented is expected to provide the Student-Trainee enough


opportunities to be exposed and be involved in actual productive work relative to his/her field during the
internship period.

The above named Student-Trainee, on the other hand, is expected to perform the tasks that will be
assigned to him/her during the internship period.

3. Nothing in the internship program must be construed to establish in any manner whatsoever as employer-
employee relationship between AFI and the Student-Trainee. As such, the Student-Trainee is not
considered as an AFI employee and, therefore, is not entitled to any compensation or benefit other than
those to be voluntarily given by AFI during the internship period.

4. AFI shall not be answerable for any illnesses or accidents that may occur for the duration of the
internship period. However, it is the responsibility of the Unit/Program/Project to ensure that the
Student-Trainee is not exposed to any hazardous undertakings and is not subjected to harassment,
discrimination, exploitation and unjust labor practice.

5. The Student-Trainee shall be subject to the policies, rules and regulations of AFI insofar as the same are
applicable, particularly those referring to attendance, conduct and decorum while inside AFI premises, as
follows:

a. The Student-Trainee shall be issued individual Bundy Cards by HRD to register their daily
attendance (punch-in in the morning and punch-out in the afternoon) duly signed by his/her
immediate supervisor for submission to the SIP Coordinator immediately after the completion of the
internship period.

b. The Student-Trainee shall be issued a SIP ID, which he/she is required to wear upon entrance to and
within AFI premises. This must be immediately surrendered to the SIP Coordinator upon completion
of the internship period.

c. The Student-Trainee is not allowed to stay within AFI premises after the prescribed work schedule
unless authorized by his/her Immediate Supervisor in writing copy furnished HRD-SIP Coordinator
indicating therein the inclusive overtime and the purpose for extension. He/she is also prohibited
from entering the assigned unit/program/project area without the presence of any of the employee
from the said group.
d. The following behaviors shall not be allowed:

 Leaving the work area without the permission of the Immediate Supervisor (e.g. prolonged
break and lunch-out, attending to personal business, etc.);
 Loitering, playing games, shouting and sleeping during office hours;
 Reading newspapers, magazines and/or pocket books and the like unless required by the nature
of work assignment;
 Wearing flimsy/transparent dresses, sandos, slippers, shorts and tattered pants;
 Attempting to bring explosive or deadly weapons inside AFI premises or possession thereof;
 Reporting for work under the influence of liquor or drugs or drinking or taking these in during
office hours and/or within AFI premises;
 Lending and tampering of IDs;
 Tampering of bundy cards and punching in/out for another Student-Trainee;
 Operating office equipment and/or using company vehicle or other facilities without proper
authorization;
 Others no specifically enumerated herein but covered under the AFI Code of Conduct.

6. The Student-Trainee may be transferred before the expiration of the internship period for any of the
following reasons:

a. He/she submits a written request for transfer to another Unit/Program/Project to


HRD citing the reason/s therein subject to the concurrence of the originating and the receiving
Unit/Program/Project;

b. A Unit/Program/Project submits a written request to HRD for a replacement of the


Student-Trainee for a justifiable reason; or

c. HRD has established after due process that the Unit/Program/Project did not strictly conform
with the provisions of the SIP agreement.

7. AFI may terminate the internship of a Student-Trainee after due process for violation of any of the
provisions of the SIP Agreement.
