1. In line with the thrust to promote responsible and free journalism pursuant the
provision of Section 2 Republic Act No. 7079 on Campus Journalism, Karangalan
Elementary School will conduct the 2023 School Press Conference in English and
Filipino. This activity will be held on November 13 to November 15.
2. The conference aims to:
a. provide a venue for enriching learning experience for pupils and teachers who
are interested in journalism
b. promote understanding among campus journalist/participants the importance
of journalism by expressing it through different journalistic endeavor and
approaches;
c. enhance journalistic competence through healthy and friendly
competition; d. sustain advocacy on social consciousness

3. The individual and group competition should consist of:
News writing
Editorial writing
Feature writing

4. Participants to this workshop/contest are pupils from the Special Program in


Journalism Classes .

5. Attached are enclosures a: the composition of committees; b: the matrix of topics


both in English and Filipino and c: the list of participants.
