being described in each slide within ten seconds before the answer is revealed. The choices are

seat of the Yoruba tribe that made this
ancient sculpture. The Yoruba still exists
today.

the earliest dynasties of Ancient China
during the Warring Kingdoms period.

The ruins of an ancient Mayan city of Tik’al,


found in Guatemala. It is considered to be
one of the largest urban centers of the
civilization before the arrival of colonizers.

The Rajarani Temple in Bhubaneshwar, India.


India is considered to be one of the
important seats of ancient civilizations, which
also include China and Greece.

The remains of an ancient Viking ritual boat


for the deceased. Vikings were the ancient
seafaring raiders and warriors that settled in
Scandinavia.

The helmet worn by Greek hoplites. The


ancient Greeks were people with a balanced
academic and military prowess imitated by
later civilizations.

The remains of the ancient moai heads found


in Easter Island. They were believed to be
made by the seafaring Polynesians when they
settled on this island.

The torii, or sacred gate of the Itsukushima


Shrine in Japan, dedicated to the storm god
Susanoo no Okami. This temple is flooded
during high tide, which made this torii “float”.

The bust sculpture of Nefertiti, one of the


famous queens in ancient Egypt. She and her
late husband spearheaded the worship of the
Sun, which they called Aten. It has become a
cultural symbol of Berlin.

The remains of the Colosseum in Rome. Used


in both blood sports and classical drama, it is
one of the proofs of the might of Roman
architecture. The Colosseum is an
Amphitheatre built in Rome under the Flavian
emperors of the Roman Empire.

Greece. Its name is still shrouded in origin,
but it means mushroom in Greek.

The famous Terracotta Army found in the


tomb of the first Chinese Emperor, Qin Shi
Huang. The ancient Chinese believed that
these soldiers will protect their Emperor in
the afterlife.

The bust sculpture of the Yoruba heroine


Moremi. The Yoruba tribe is one of the three
largest Nigerian tribes, comprising of at least
21% of the total population.

The terracotta head of the Hindu god Shiva.


The Hindus have the oldest religion in the
world, which is noted by some historians to
be a fusion of various cultural practices, and
it has no known founder.

The Mayan frieze, a detailed relief sculpture,


found in the National Museum of
Anthropology in Mexico. This one has been
dated to be at least more than 1,000 years
old.
