IOC Update

To manually update the IOC files on a unit: 1. Copy the correct IOC files (V850app and V850bolo) from the firmware onto a fresh SD card and rename them to ioc_appl_bin and ioc_bolo_bin. 2. Connect to the unit via PuTTY and run commands to update the app, reboot, update the bolo, and reboot again. 3. The order of updating the app then bolo is important, as updating bolo first can cause buttons to stop working. Updating app first ensures eeprom and buttons function properly.

For manual IOC update all you need

- Fresh SD

- Correct IOC files from firmware ( IOC\Main\21\default )

- V850app = for Eeprom

- V850bolo = for buttons

V850app & V850bolo - All you need correct two files (Known A6 for MLB)

You need to rename both files

V850app to ----> ioc_appl_bin

V850bolo to ----> ioc_bolo_bin

/// Create new IOC file inside of SD and copy both files to IOC files
Connect unit via PuTTY

#First you need to put BOOT MODE for APP / *uppercase letters matter

on -f rcc /usr/apps/mib2_ioc_flash updateApp

Than unit will restart automatically and you will see update reboot screen on MMI
#Next command flash IOC APP

on -f rcc /usr/apps/mib2_ioc_flash updateAppNow

#Next Command restart unit (if no auto)

on -f rcc /usr/apps/mib2_ioc_flash reboot

#Next Command boot mode for IOC Bolo

on -f rcc /usr/apps/mib2_ioc_flash updateBolo

----It will go to auto restart and than boot mode again

#Next command flash for IOC Bolo

on -f rcc /usr/apps/mib2_ioc_flash updateBoloNow

Normally need to update first bolo and app / Also it is showing on Bolo result page but if you will update
1st bolo than App / Buttons are not working! So you can’t update your unit swdl etc.

So you need to first APP for eeprom than update BOLO for buttons and all worked!

Tested from Audi A6 MHI2 AU57x
