ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
Objective/s:
 Improve teacher’s skills in Formulation of School Child Protection Policies
 Election and Roll out the Roles and responsibilities of the committees
PRELIMINARIES
 Mrs. May T. Cinco a Vice-Chairperson wrote a letter request addressed to
the principal for the conduct of the activity.
 Then, the School Head Dr. Rodolfo J. Nabual issued a School Memorandum
addressed to all person concerned.
 A letter of invitation to stakeholders of the said activity.
 Assigned teacher for the attendance sheet.
HIGHLIGHTS

The program started with a prayer led by Mr. Jerico M. Talbo, SST-
followed by Nationalistic Song led by Jamie Babe V. Arcales, SST-II. To formally open the
program, Dr. Rodolfo J. Nabual School Principal gave his Opening Remarks. He
highlighted the importance of Formulation of School Child Protection Policy to ensure the
learners safety.

During the conference proper, the presiding officer Mrs. May T. Cinco
explained the need to create School Child Protection Committee. It has been identified
that bullying in any form is a major problem in many countries around the world and so it
imperative that bullying must be stopped within our schools.

Therefore, the School Child Protection Committee was created and rolled out
their shared responsibilities. The Committee comes up a reasonable measure in
safeguarding the learners in school to wit.

a. Ensures that we practice safe recruitment in checking the suitability of


teachers and volunteers to work with children.
b. Ensure that we carry out all necessary checks on the suitability of people who
serve on the school’s governing council in accordance with regulations and
guidance.
c. Reinforce to all teachers that they have responsibility to identify children who
maybe in need of extra help who are suffering or likely to suffer, significant
harm.
d. Protect each learner from any form of abuse; whether from an adult or
another learner (or group of learners)
e. Be alert to signs of abuse both in the school and from outside.
f. Deal appropriate with every suspicious or complaint of abuse.
g. Design and operate procedures which promotes these policies.
h. Design and operate procedures which far as possible, ensure that teachers and
others who are innocent are not prejudiced by false allegations.
i. Be alert to medical needs of children with medical conditions.
j. Operate a clear anti bullying policy
k. Establish and maintain an environment where children feel secure an
encourage to talk and listen to.
l. Include opportunities in the curriculum for children to develop the skills they
need to recognize and stay safe.

As a message, one of the members of the committee Punong Barangay


of Rawis, Rodolfo J. Calutan gives his pledge support on the said policies
made.

As for Closing Remarks, a teacher representative Mrs. Leonida A.


Meniano, Master Teacher I appreciates the efforts exerted made by the
committees to come up with the School Child Protection Policies and reminded
also the participants to be vigilant that surrounds the school to ensure the
safety and well-being of every learner.

Achievement of Objectives:
 School Child Protection Policies were created among members of the
Committee and a copy of the said policies signed each member of the
committee.
 Rolled out the Roles and Responsibilities being member of the School Child
Protection Policy Committee.
