Description of Change to the Customer:


Based on current B step demand, Intel does not expect to be able to
support customers on B step G/MCH beyond the March 7, 2005 ready to
receive (RTR) milestone

The GMCH component of the Intel®915G, 915GV and the 910GL Express
chipsets and the MCH component of the Intel®915P Express Chipset are
converting from B-1 to C-2 stepping.

For technical details of the Intel® 915G, 915P, 915GV and the 910GL
chipset, please refer to the latest Spec Update available on IBL.

Customer Impact of Change and Recommended Action:


The B-1 stepping of the 915G, 915P, 915GV, and 910GL Express chipsets
is pin-to-pin compatible with the C-2 and does not require any
motherboard modifications. Design changes, however, have been made to
the 915G, 915P, 915GV and the 910GL Express chipsets and will require
customers to perform re-qualification.

This board change is not expected to cause a change to the Microsoft*


Windows* operating system's software driver stack. These hardware
changes are being thoroughly evaluated to ensure that there is no
quality, reliability or functional implications to our customers. PASD
is not recommending additional qualification of these changes received
from Intel.
