MIDTERM LABORATORY EXERCISE 1: FAMILIARITY WITH POWERPOINT TOOLS

1. Open the file entitled practice presentation.


2. Change the theme of the presentation.
3. Delete slide 7. This slide should be blank.
4. Add a new slide with the Title and Content layout to the end of the presentation.
5. In the Title placeholder, type Adoption Event Dates.
6. Select the Content placeholder and delete it.
7. Insert a text box and type November 28, 2023 inside it.
8. Change the slide size to Standard (4:3). A dialog box will appear asking if you
want to maximize or ensure fit. Choose Ensure Fit.
9. Select slide 4.
10. Use cut and paste or drag and drop to move the text Lower blood pressure
between Companionship and Social opportunities.
11. Select the list of benefits and add italics.
12. Select the text Did you Know?, remove the boldface, and change the size to
36pt.
13. With the first slide selected, apply a Push transition from the Subtle category.
14. Change the Effect Options to push From Right.
15. Change the Duration to 2.00.
16. Set the slides to Automatically Advance after 3 seconds, or 00:03.00.
17. Use the Apply to All command to apply your changes to every slide.
18. Select the first slide and create a section.
19. Rename the section Introduction.
20. Select the slide titled Man's Best Friend Inside create a section named Dogs.
21. Select the slide titled All Warm and Fuzzy and create a section named Cats &
Other.
22. Move the slide titled Pogo so it's in the Dogs section.
23. Change to Outline view.
24. Create a note on slide 4 that says Move before slide 3 or delete.
25. Switch back to Normal view.
