INTRODUCTION TO PROJECT
Every enterprise has its own policies, rules, procedure
and administrative methods to develop and implement
this methods and policies. Every company has made
several departments employees of these departments
have to be trained or to provide training it there at to
improve their efficiency.“SPORTSMANAGEMENT
SYSTEM” is designed under graphical user
interface (GUI) environment of Microsoft VB-6 as
front end and back end support is given by MS-
Access.
The SPORTS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM was researched
and developed over many years by people who
understand the fitness industry along with SPORT
Owners and web site developers that are aware of how
to implement the necessary functionality. This
combination of experience and expertise allowed us to
develop this most comprehensive GUI BASED SPORTS
MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE application. This system
automates most of the tedious daily tasks for managers
and employees thus permitting them to focus on their
most important club assets their members.

by avoiding problems and confusion. I hope “SPORTS

MANAGEMENT SYSTEM” will definitely increase the efficiency and

effectiveness of Member Record System, Events Report System,

More of Utilities, Help and Report generation process at Sports Event

Management System.
For considering the feasibility of any new system
it must meet its best performance by four sides’ i.e.
technical, behavior, economical & operational
feasibility should be considered in any organization
since it helps us in selection of best system for the job.
There are four basic aspects of feasibility study
for computerization of system as: -
1) Economical Feasibility.
2) Technical Feasibility.
3) Behavior Feasibility.
4) Operational Feasibility.
1) Economical Feasibility:
This is also called cost benefit analysis. It is very
important when any system is to be developed. If the
system is more beneficial and less time consuming,
only then it will be accepted by the organization easily.
This proposed system reduces cost very effectively. It
helps to increase the profit and also improve the
quality of service. Thus, this system is more
economical and more beneficial for the organization.
The organization gets the following benefits by using
the proposed information system: -
1. Greater speed in process using system.
2. Improved accuracy and consistency.
3. Faster information retrieved.
4. Reduced costs
5. Better security.
6. Competitive advantage.
7. Enhanced communication.
2) Technical Feasibility: -
The system under development will create a
serious constraint for a financial budget. The
proposed system will not require more new H/W or
S/W. Hence this system is technically feasible. This
also relates the capacity of computer system, whether
the existing H/W can support the proposed changes is
the important question to be considered.
The “Transport Management System” is technically
feasible because once the suitable Hardware &
Software are installed it’s never being in front of the
organization, to require the additional Hardware or
Software for any proposed changes.
The system can be extended if the need arises.
There is technical guarantee of accuracy, reliability,
and easy access and data security. It is feasible to
develop Software using selected development
environment. The Hardware required for this project is
with at least hard disk of 2.5 GB. A Pentium or Celeron
processor & 64 MB RAM is recommended for fast
execution.
3) Behavioral Feasibility: -
It is natural that people resist changes. The
computer is known to facilitate changes. An estimate
would be made of how strong a reaction of user and
staff is likely to be towards the development of
computerized system.
When proposed system is implemented, it is
something to do with transfer, retaining and changes in
Driver Detail status. The analyst should make careful
study of how efficiently he will be able to convince the
user & get him to accept the proposed system.
It is quite feasible to implement new system as we have
secured the co-operation of the existing staff & we
know the reaction will be in favor of the proposed
system.
We can say that the system is behaviorally feasible
because after collecting proper person and after
knowing the requirement of staff & user to work more
efficiently & comfortably, we try to develop the system.
In addition to what we are trying to train the
concerned staff and, we will be providing a user manual
to operate the proposed system.
According to feasibility study the organization gets
following benefit from computerized system: -

HARDWARE&SOFTWAREREQUIREMENT

Hardware is the physical component

of a Computer, which includes Central
Processing Unit, internal storage units, other
peripherals or any other devices that can be used in
conjunction with these units. Broadly, hardware can
be termed the electronic circuits used in building
the computer that executes the software.

HARDWARE Configuration:-

These Hardware parts are installed on

PC to Running Acme 2006:

H/W Min Max

1. Processor -- PC 486 No
limitation
2. Motherboard -- 81x family

3. RAM -- 16 MB ----
4. Monitor -- VGA or CGA

5. Hard disk-- 1.2 GB ----

6. Printer -- Windows Support -
---
1. CD-RW -- Windows support
(For Backup) --
8. Mouse -- Windows Compatible --
--
9. Keyboard -- Windows Compatible ----
-

Above Hardware and Mouse is necessary for quick and

efficient operation.

Software is the list of instruction to be executed

by a computer Software is the part of computer system,
which enables the H/W to operate S/W
Is an essential requirement of the computer system? The
proposed system is developed in VB 6.0 and MS
AccessXp. So by creating the cab file of this project
there is no need of insta ling VB 6.0. But the fo lowing
Software is required.

Software:

1. Operating System :
WindowsNT/98/2000/ME/XP.

2. Stand alone Environment.

3. Application Software : Microsoft Office
/2000/Xp.

4. Microsoft Internet Explorer.

5. Language Used :

Front End : Visual Basic 6.0

Back End : Ms-Access.

SYSTEMTESTING
White Box Testing:
Once the code is generated program testing begins. It is
essential to test the package of errors. This phase
conducts test to ensure that defined input will produce
actual output in accordance with requirement. Also
software has to be Test Run before it can be adopted.

Testing of New system:

Testing of new developed system is done under the
following testing points.
1. Links Between Forms
2. Data Entry Test
3. Event Testing

1. Links Between Forms:

The “Transport Management System” is implemented
uSINGH Visual Basic 6.0 and Microsoft Access. One
form having menu is used to link the different forms in
the project. USINGH this we can connect to any form to
the menu. It is necessary to check weather a l links are
working properly or not. So a l the links are tested for
proper work so that we connect to any form from menu.
We can also reach to the main menu from that current
working form. All the corresponding pages get loaded
after clicking to the links. The link is established properly
and works suitably fine.
2. Data Entry Test:
The information or the records, which
are inserted into the tables, should not have any errors in
it. So it is necessary to check all entered data whether it
is correct or not. The data entry test check consist of
Numbers in name field.
Characters in numeric field.
Invalid date or year in date field.
Invalid characters in number field.
Avoiding of mandatory field.

All above checks are performed for all data entry data
updating forms. There checks are also done in tacking
input for the reports. They are working properly by not
accepting the invalid data.

Numbers in name field.

Characters in numeric field.
Invalid date or year in date field.
Invalid characters in number field.
Avoiding of mandatory field.

3. Event Testing:
In these testing, different events get checked. Since
Visual Basic provides with event driven programming,
we check whatever the events are generated properly or
not e.g. Click event occurs when we click on the
command button, the validity of particular item is
checked when it gets filled in.
Thus testing of systems done in a l aspects. The
result of this testing is again positive and shows that the
system is working properly. Thus gives correct, reliable
results.
SYSTEM SECURITY&MAINTENANCE
In system development, the project manager and
the analyst must consider about the security and
maintenance of the candidate system to protect it from
unauthorized access.

Definition: -
The system security problem can be
described into four related issues, such as Security,
Integrity, Privacy and Confidentiality. They determine the
file structure, data structure access procedure.

System Security: -
It refers to the technical innovation and
procedure applied to the hardware of an operation
system to protect against deliberate or accidental
damage from defined threat. In contrast, data security is
the protection of data from loss, disclosure, modification
& destruction of data.

System Integrity: -
It refers to the proper functioning of hardware
and programs, appropriate physical security and safety
against external threats in comparison. Data integrity
makes sure that data does not differ from the original
form and has not been accidenta ly or intentionally
disclosed, alter or destroyed.

Privacy: -
It defines the rights of the user of organization
to determine what information he is willing to share with
or accept from others and how the organization can
protect the excessive discrimination of information about
it.
The term confidentially is a special status
given to sensitive information in a database to minimize
the possible invasion of privacy. It is an attribute of
information that characterizes its need for protection,
System security is the technical need of providing such
protection. In contrast, privacy is largely a procedural
matter of information indeed.

Data Privacy & Security: -

Data privacy and security are social
concerned. An organization that depend heavily on the
use of database requires special control to maintain
available information.
