The Score
Each game of tennis is played to four points—15, 30, 40 and game.
You score points by hitting shots or serves that your opponent
fails to return within the boundaries of your side of the court.
The server’s score is always announced first. Therefore, a score
of fifteen-love means the server has scored one point in the
game, while their opponent has not scored, and has a score
of zero—known in tennis as love.
