Licence
In order to set up an outlet of fast food in the queen street,
Brisbane, according to the local council a licence is to be required,
even if the fast food business has a licence of fixed premises or
manufacturing facility already, yet we will require to acquire a
temporary food stall licence. This licence is compulsory as the kind of
food prepared will be “fast” , therefore, it is part of the list of
unpackaged food or handled food.
To apply for this licence we will require:
To submit an application at least 14 days before the event, up to 30
days before. There are two parts to the application:
Temporary food stall licence application:
1. prepare a plan detailing the equipment that will be used and
the stall set up. The plan needs to include where you place your
cooking storage and hand washing facilities (a basic plan is
usually sufficient)
complete the temporary food stall licence online application
(pay with Visa or Mastercard).
2. Food safety supervisor notification (for annual licences only):
all licensable food businesses in Queensland must have a food safety
supervisor. You can nominate this person when you make your
temporary food stall licence online application
otherwise nominate a food safety supervisor by phone to the
Business Hotline Team on 133 BNE (133 263) within 30 days issued
licence.
Other requirements
The Brisbane city council provides with a list that can downloaded
from the web page that includes a checklist that provides with list of
requirements and licences needed in order to set up an outlet.
Potentially hazardous food
The council provides with information of how to store potentially
hazardous food and the kind of food that is potentially hazardous.
Food safety Audit
the council requires every business to have a rating based on the
level safety being 5 the highest, this audit is conducted by an
authorised Brisbane city council officer, this has to be done before
the food business licence has being issued.

Sewerage requirements
An on-site sewerage facility (OSF) is any system that stores, treats
and disposes of household wastewater and sewage on a property in
an unsewered area. Poorly sited or maintained on-site sewerage
facilities can impact public health and the environment.
Prior to installing an on-site sewerage facility approval must be
obtained from Brisbane City Council and all on-site sewage
treatment plants must have obtained chief executive approval.
Septic systems do not require chief executive approval.
The types of facilities that may be installed are:
septic tank
secondary or higher treatment plant (aerobic wastewater treatment
systems)
composting toilet.
The Local city council improvise the people to recycle the food
composed in a separated bin, so it could be a fertilizer to the farmer.
Each household required 4 types of bins
• Red for general waste
• Yellow for recyclable item such as paper, glass, aluminium, etc
• Green for Garden waste
• And orange for food waste
