PROVINCIAL SUPER CONSUMER QUIZ SHOW

1. In reference to the letter received dated September 29, 2023 from the Office
of DTI-South Cotabato Provincial Office on the conduct of 2023 DTI Provincial Quiz
Show with the theme "GenS: Generation Sustainable" which will be conducted on
October 13, 2023, from 1:00 p .m to 5:00 p . m. at the City Mall of Koronadal,
Koronadal City, the Schools Division of South Cotabato through the Curriculum
Implementation Division supports to promote the consumer welfare advocacy and
to adopt appropriate measures at an increased level of public awareness of
consumerism among consumers in the school curriculum.
2. Anent this, all secondary schools ( JHS students Grade 7-10 ) of the Schools
Division of South Cotabato are hereby informed and encouraged to participate in
the DTI Provincial Super Consumer Quiz Show. The deadline for registration is on
October 6, 2023. Attached herewith is the registration form and mechanics for the
Quiz. Subsequently, the students who will be attending are required to submit a
signed Parent's Consent.
3. Food, transportation and other incidental expenses are chargeable to School
MOOE subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and procedures. Cash
prizes will be given to winners and the non-winners will receive a consolation prize.
4. To ensure compliance with the measures enumerated in the DepEd Order 9,
s. 2005 to increase engaged time-on-task, all School Heads are enjoined to strictly
adhere to the stated policies.

CONTEST M ECHANICS
The follow ing mechanics shall be observed m the conduct of the
" SUPER Consumer Quiz Show for the year 2023;
Qualification ( Mandatory) :
, The partIopatlon Is op n to Junior High School Students
(Grade 7- 10 )
, The Regional and Provincial Champions of the previous
SUPER Consumer Quiz Show are disqualified from Joining.
, Participants in the Regional Quiz Show are the top three (3)
winners per Field Office .
Manner of Conduct:
,,. The contest will be played in three rounds, the P round
with the easy questions, the 2no round with the average
questions, and the 3,u round with the difficult questions.
, Easy Ques ions are equivalent to 5 points each, average
questions are equivalent to lO points each , and difficult
que tions are equivalent to 15 points each. Each round will
be composed of ten questions.
, The scoring system is cumulative from the first to the third
round.
, Que lions will be flashed in a multi-media projector and
read twice. Ten ( 10) seconds will be given for the
contestants to answer.
, Each contestant will be provided a sheet of paper whlch will
serve as their an wer sheet, the pap r hall bear the round
and question numbers and th name of the school. After
ten seconds and on cue fl m the quizma t r, all answer
sheets must be raised, counted & collected by designated
officials.
, r allure to raise th answer sheets on time shall disqualify
the contest nt from answ ring nd wlll automat ically be
given a score of z ro for th t certain question. The
contestant may still contmu on the succeeding quest ions.
, Correct answers will be announced after each question ,
contestants who gave the correct answer shall be
recognized and the score shall be counted .
, Answer sheets will be the basis of t he official score and will
be tallied by a pool of valid ators.
,. The highest scorer after the third round will be declared the
Provincial Champion/ P place winner, with the two
succeeding scorers as 2 d and 3rc1 placers. In case of a tie in
the last round, a tiebreaker question will be given to
determine the winners.
, Corrections made in the answer sheet must be marked with
an X and re -written in a legible manner. All Illegible
answers will be considered incorrect.
, Complaints will be ent ertained only before the declaration of
winners.
