This research study investigates the influence of fraternity membership on the


youth in Barangay Rio Hondo, focusing on the perceived benefits and potential
drawbacks associated with joining fraternities. The study answered the following
question: 1. What is the demographic profile of the respondents in Rio Hondo in
terms of age and sex? 2. What is the likelihood of youth in Rio Hondo joining the
fraternity? 3. Is there a significant difference in likelihood of youth in Rio Hondo
joining the fraternity when data are grouped according to profile? There were 100
respondents included in this study. The result revealed that the impact of
fraternity on the youth of Barangay Rio Hondo indicates that fraternity
membership has both positive and negative consequences, considering both the
positive and negative aspects of fraternity membership within a neutral stance,
we can conduct research and develop interventions that effectively promote the
well-being and positive growth of the youth in Barangay Rio Hondo.
The study aims to understand the perspectives of the community members in Rio
Hondo regarding fraternity participation. The researcher used quantitative
research method. The quantitative study it aims to determine the impact of
joining a fraternity on the youth of Barangay Rio Hondo, Zamboanga City by
administering a survey to a sample of 100 youth aged 18-24 who are residents of
the barangay, using survey questionnaire. The survey will include questions
about the participants' demographics, their involvement in a fraternity (if any),
and various measures of social and personal well-being. By examining the
perceptions and impact of joining fraternities on the youth of Barangay Rio
Hondo, this research seeks to provide valuable insights into the multifaceted
nature of fraternity membership within the local social and cultural context.
