Benchmarks vary based on equipment and job. Some common benchmarks include:

1. Asset 1, job 1:
2. Asset 1, job 2:
3. Asset 2, job 1:

measurement is used? corrective maintenance on an asset. It’s measured in hours (15 minute
increments). The time starts when a work order is created/received and ends when equip-
ment begins normal function again.

What happens if results improve? If a noticeable improvement is observed on any element (asset and/or job), the data is ana-
lyzed to ensure it’s correct. If it is, an investigation is done to
determine why it improved. Based on the findings, the processes or adjustments that led to
the improvement will be tested on other elements (assets and/or jobs).
What happens if results regress? If a noticeable and/or prolonged regression occurs on any element (asset and/or job), the
data will be analyzed to ensure it’s correct. If it is, the investigation will take place to deter-
mine why it regressed. Based on the findings, adjustments will be made within two weeks to
address the cause of the regression.
Systems
Where is data collected, stored, and accessed? Data is logged in the CMMS for each associated work order. A report is run and downloaded
every two weeks with aggregate numbers for all work orders in that two-week period. These
reports are kept on the maintenance department’s network drive under ‘Reports and KPIs’.

What tools are used to analyze, share, and act on data? This data is analyzed using a report downloaded from the CMMS. This report can be auto-
matically shared via email using the CMMS. All adjustments based on this data is logged (see
below) and implemented the CMMS.

Where are adjustments and decisions related to this Adjustments and decisions related to this metric are tracked in the separate spreadsheet kept
