Job Role Details

Plaksha University is looking for candidates with strong analytical and quantitative capabilities,
and excellent communication skills. We seek applications from motivated individuals with a
strong academic background to work as Research Fellows. These positions are ideal for
candidates interested in pursuing a Ph.D. from a prominent research institution after working
at Plaksha for about two years.

There are 2 Research Fellow positions in Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning/Computer

Vision/Bio-sensing available with Professor Siddharth (https://ssiddharth.in/about-me) to
work in the newly-established Human-Technology Interaction (HTI) Lab
(https://ssiddharth.in/hti-lab.html). The mission of the HTI Lab is to investigate and model
human-technology interaction to improve cognitive well-being, develop cost-effective
wearable solutions, and provide policy recommendations to enhance human safety,
productivity, and creativity. Please visit the above websites to learn more about Professor
Siddharth’s research and the ongoing projects (these are only representative projects, and the
research fellows will have the freedom to work on other projects as well aligning with the lab’s
vision). The candidates will assist the faculty in their ongoing research work which includes
data-collection, data-cleaning, literature review, data analysis, running the statistical models,
publications, and professionally presenting the results. These projects will include developing
computational models in Python and/or Matlab. Some amount of teaching assistance may also
be needed.

Required Qualifications and Skills

· Master’s degree or a 4-year bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence,

Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or any other related majors.

. Strong background in Machine Learning.

· The candidate must have evidence of academic excellence.

. Experience with Computer Vision/Bio-sensing/Natural Language Processing or willingness

to learn is highly desired.

· A background in hands-on experience in undertaking projects and publishing in the above

domains is highly desired.

· The candidate must have advanced programming skills in Python/Matlab with experience
in using machine learning libraries like Tensorflow, Scipy, etc.
Benefits

Minimum consolidated monthly stipend of INR 50,000, inclusive of HRA. Additional

incentives may be offered for exceptional candidates.
