GUEST OPERATING SYSTEM: LINUX
VERSION- CENTOS-08 64-BIT

• NAME THE VIRTUAL MACHINE :
VIRTUAL MACHINE NAME: host2
(GIVE VITUAL MACHINE NAME: e.g host2)
Location: select the location where you want to save
This pc – local disk e – make new folder- name same as virtual machine name

• PROCESSOR CONFIGURATION:
Don’t increase the number because it will consume more power. So,leave everything
default here

Memory-1024 MB is enough
• Network type:
Use (NAT)-NETWORK ADDRESS TRANSLATION
• I/O CONTROLLER TYPE:
LSI LOGIC-recommended
• NEXT
• VIRTUAL DISK TYPE:
SCSI (recommended)

• SELECT A DISK:
CREATE A NEW VIRTUAL MACHINE
• NEXT
• SPECIFY DISK CAPACITY:
MAXIMUM DISK SIZE: 20.0 is enough
STORE VIRTUAL DISK AS A SINGLE FILE

• SPECIFY DISK FILE:
DISK FILE-vmdk
BROWSE-save it in the same directory of virual machine file name
• NEXT
• FINISH
MEANS WE CREATED.
NOW COME ON SAME FILE THAT YOU HAVE MADE:
• CLICK ON CD/DVD(IDE)
CONNECTION- use iso image
Browse and select centos file

NOW POWER ON THE VIRTUAL MACHINE

You will see same image; to install centos 8 –

CLICK ON UPPER ARROW↑

Centos will install now

Note-to increase the speed of process of installation we can increase given memory e.g 1 gb
into 3 gb

AFTER INSTALLATION:

Some question will be asked by anaconda installer program-answer it

You will see this type of interface:


• Language-english
• Continue

You will see this type of interface:

• Click on installation destiny

• LVM
• CLICK ON +
MOUNT POINT- /
DESIRED CAPACITY- 10G
ADD MOUNT TYPE
• AGAIN CLICK ON +
MOUNT POINT- /boot
DESIRED CAPACITY- 300M(it is enough)
ADD MOUNT TYPE
• NOW CLICK 2 TYPE DONE
Then It will look like this

• ACCEPT CHANGES
Then It will look like this
• CLICK ON ROOT PASSWORD-
TYPE PASSWORD-if your password is weak click two times done
• Create user creation-
Create it
• Click 2 time done
• Begin installation
• You will see a reboot option after sometime
Click over it.
