advanced knowledge for professional practice, scholarship and
further learning corresponding to AQF level 9 qualifications. This
course introduces a discrete focus on innovation and
entrepreneurship and directly exposes students to real-life cases.

The course features guided independent study, team projects


and maximum use of information and communication technology
towards the development of innovative, entrepreneurial,
commercialisation and managerial competencies in context of
international business.

Career opportunities

Graduates can seek to be employed as knowledge manager,


innovation manager at private and public organisations as well as
seek self-employment or employment with start-up companies
that have an interest in or focus on international business and
entrepreneurial activities.

Applicants for a Master Degree (Coursework) are required to


meet University academic and English language entry standards;

applicants usually require a Bachelor Degree or equivalent (and
may require relevant work experience), Bachelor Honours
Degree, Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma. Any specific
course entry and completion requirements must also be met. All
Curtin courses have compulsory and other core capabilities that
are essential for demonstrating the achievement of course
learning outcomes and graduation. Students who are unable to
meet or demonstrate those requirements, now or in later stages
during their studies, may seek reasonable adjustments by the
University wherever possible to facilitate alternative ways of
achieving those requirements. If reasonable adjustments cannot
be accommodated, Curtin will discuss study options to find an
alternative course of study or an exit degree. Any specific course
entry and completion requirements must also be met.

Credit for recognised learning

Applications for credit towards a course are assessed on an


individual basis. Credit reduces the amount of learning required
to complete the course and may be granted for formal education
qualifications, non-formal learning from non-award programs of

Intermediate awards

A student who has successfully completed the requirements of an


approved intermediate award may apply for graduation in that
award subject to approval of Head of School/Department. Fees

Duration and availability

This course is four semesters full-time or equivalent part-time


study. Some units are available during the evening. International
onshore students on student visas are not permitted to study on a

Learning outcomes

Master Degrees (Coursework) contain a series of units in a


specialised area of study which may include compulsory (core),
optional or elective units to cater for student preferences. They
may also contain a range of majors/streams for students to
choose from.

knowledge and skills relating to international business,
entrepreneurship and start-ups and apply to professional
practice

2. Develop entrepreneurial/intrapreneurial and innovation skills


and utilise these skills effectively to generate innovative
solutions to complex issues in international business and
entrepreneurship

3. Communicate professionally and effectively, through written


and oral means, to culturally diverse stakeholders and local
First Peoples within the ethical and professional frameworks of
international business and entrepreneurship
